Season 1

  • S01E01 Downtown as Fruits / Eugene's Bike

    • October 6, 1996

    First Part: Not looking forward to performing in Helga's "The Four Food Groups" musical, Arnold and Gerald decide to take the bus a few stops too many, but end up stuck downtown. Second Part: When Arnold accidentally ruins Eugene's new bike, he takes Eugene out on a day of fun, thinking that "Every geek deserves his day".

  • S01E02 The List / Haunted Train

    • October 9, 1996

    First Part: Arnold attempts to do something that no other kid has done before - completing the entire list of a kid's perfect Saturday! But, unfortunately, things don't go quite to plan. Second Part: When the kids complain of being bored, Grandpa tells the story of the Haunted Train. So, the kids decide to go and see if the train exists for themselves.

  • S01E03 Operation: Ruthless / The Vacant Lot

    • October 14, 1996

    First Part: At the Annual Cheese Fair, Helga tries her best to keep Arnold well away from Ruth - a girl who Arnold has a crush on. Second Part: Arnold and friends decide to clear out a vacant lot to play baseball on, but the adults take over it, and use it for their own reasons.

  • S01E04 6th Grade Girls / The Baseball

    • October 16, 1996

    First Part: Two girls from the sixth grade who are tired of the way that their boyfriends treat them, decide to take Arnold and Gerald to the school dance, but only to make their boyfriends jealous. Second Part: Arnold's favorite baseball player is playing his last game, so he decides to go and see his last game. The only problem is that he winds up with terrible seats.

  • S01E05 Benchwarmer / Cool Jerk

    First Part: Arnold and the gang play on a basketball team, but their coach tells them to throw the ball to one person, his son, Tucker. Second Part: An older cool guy befriends Arnold, but Arnold realizes that he is really a shoplifter.

  • S01E06 The Little Pink Book / Field Trip

    • October 23, 1996

    First Part: When Helga loses her pink book, full of love poems about Arnold on the bus, it ends up in Arnold's hands. Now Helga must get it back before Arnold figures out who wrote the poems. Second Part: Field Trip: The kids are really looking forward to their field trip to the aquarium - especially when they remember the scary Lock Jaw from their last trip. But, when they get there, they see that Lock Jaw isn't really that scary. Arnold notices how neglected the old turtle looks, and returns later with Grandma to set it free.

  • S01E07 Tutoring Torvald / Gerald Comes Over

    • October 28, 1996

    First Part: Arnold must tutor a 13-year-old, fourth-grade bully in math, much to his dismay. Second Part: Gerald goes to Arnold's place to meet the other residents.

  • S01E08 Arnold's Hat / Stoop Kid

    • October 30, 1996

    First Part: An obsessed Helga steals Arnold's hat to complete her shrine to Arnold, which is hidden in the back of her closet. But, she notices how miserable Arnold is without his hat, and decides to give it back to him. Second Part: Arnold's hat lands on the stoop of "Stoop Kid," - a bully who has lived his whole life on his stoop, and is highly protective of it. But, when it's Arnold's fault that Stoop Kid becomes the joke of the city, he must help Stoop Kid face his biggest fear - leaving his stoop for the first time.

  • S01E09 Heat / Snow

    First Part: The city is suffering from a heatwave, and whatever he does, Arnold just can't seem to get cool. Second Part: Snow hits the city and Arnold can't wait to get out and have some fun... but wait, there's chores to be done... and when there done Arnold has the time of his life playing Hockey with the "crew".

  • S01E10 Helga's Makeover / The Old Building

    • November 6, 1996

    First Part: Helga is annoyed when Rhonda doesn't invite her to her slumber party - everybody assumes that "girly" parties aren't Helga's style. So, Helga is determined to prove her wrong, and gets a makeover. Second Part: Arnold is asked by his Grandma to help save an old building, and then asked by Ernie to help knock the building down! Who will Arnold decide to go along with? How can he get out of this tricky situation?

  • S01E11 Mugged / Roughin' It

    • November 11, 1996

    First Part: When Arnold gets mugged in the street, Grandma teaches him how to defend himself, but the training and fighting starts to get to his head. Second Part: Grandpa, Arnold, and Gerald are all going on an old fashioned camping trip... until Big Bob, Helga, and Phoebe show up with luxurious camping equipment.

    First Part: All of the borders get very curious to what is inside the very personal Mr. Smith's package. Second Part: Oskar gets kicked out of Suzie's room when they get into an argument, so Arnold tries to get them back together when Oskar moves into Arnold's room.

  • S01E13 Das Subway / Wheezin' Ed

    First Part: Everyone decides to take the subway home, but disaster strikes when they find themselves trapped in it. Second Part: Arnold convinces the gang to go to Elk Island, where, unknown to them, two men are plotting a counterfeit coin scheme.

  • S01E14 Spelling Bee / Pigeon Man

    First Part: Arnold and Helga compete on a Spelling Bee contest. Second Part: When Arnold's pigeon gets sick, he takes it to "Pigeon Man", a person surrounded by pigeons who lives on a rooftop.

  • S01E15 Olga Comes Home / Sally's Comet

    • November 25, 1996

    First Part: Jealous about her smart, talented, popular older sister Olga returning home from college, Helga fiendishly changes one of her grades from an A to B+, which sends Olga into a deep depression. Second Part: Arnold and Gerald must turn off all the lights in the city if they want to see Sally's Comet.

  • S01E16 Abner Come Home / The Sewer King

    • November 27, 1996

    First Part: Arnold must find a way to recover his pig pet Abner after he runs away. Second Part: Arnold loses Grandpa's watch inside the sewers, so he must retrieve from The Sewer King.

  • S01E17 Magic Show / 24 Hours to Live

    • December 9, 1996

    First Part: Arnold has a magic show and he makes a disappearing act and uses Helga as the person disappearing. Helga decides to play a trick and literally disappears. She bumps into a pole and has a dream on how the world would have been if she's gone. Second Part: In this remake of the original pilot, Arnold accidentally knocks Harold out during a baseball game, and the bully gives Arnold 24 hours to live before he beats him to a pulp.

  • S01E18 Arnold's Christmas

    • February 11, 1996

    Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's daughter (who was separated from him during the final days of the Vietnam War) as he carries out his duty as Mr. Hyunh's secret Santa. Meanwhile, Helga must choose between a Christmas present for herself (Nancy Spumoni boots) and the perfect gift for Arnold.

  • S01E19 False Alarm / World Records

    • December 23, 1996

    First Part: Eugene is accused of pulling the fire alarm. In the school court, the jury thinks Eugene is guilty except for Arnold, who believes there is a shadow of a doubt. Second Part: The kids try to get in the book of world records so much that they would do anything, including most people on a one-person bike and the longest game of Crack-The-Whip.

  • S01E20 Arnold's Valentine

    Arnold gets a date with both Ruth (The girl he likes) and Cecile (his pen pal, who's actually Helga in disguise), but later the real Cecile shows up.

  • S02E01 Save the Tree / New Teacher

    • September 22, 1997

    First Part: Arnold and the gang must stop Big Bob from chopping down the oldest tree in town. Second Part: When the kids make their new teacher, Mr. Simmons, quit his job; the replacement makes them realize what they lost.

  • S02E02 Helga's Love Potion / Gerald's Secret

    • September 24, 1997

    First Part: Helga drinks a potion to lose all feelings for Arnold. Second Part: Gerald's secret is revealed; he doesn't know how to ride a bike so Arnold teaches him how.

  • S02E03 The Big Scoop / Harold's Kitty

    • September 29, 1997

    First Part: Arnold and Gerald compete against Helga for the school newspaper. Second Part: Harold becomes close to a kitty he finds on the streets. But when the real owner wants the cat back, it becomes a problem.

  • S02E04 Longest Monday / Eugene's Pet

    • October 1, 1997

    First Part: Schoolyard tradition has it that on the first Monday of June each year, the fifth graders throw the fourth graders into trash cans. So, Arnold and Gerald try to make a run for it. As more people are thrown into trash cans and the fifth graders know all the routes, Arnold and Gerald find out eluding the fifth graders is harder than they thought. Second Part: After Arnold accidentally kills Eugene's fish with a yo-yo, Arnold must do something to make up for it.

  • S02E05 Monkey Business / Big Caesar

    • October 6, 1997

    First Part: An organ grinder's monkey kisses Helga, who's convinced she has caught 'monkeynucleosis'. Second Part: Gerald and Arnold do a spot of fishing, determined to catch the pond's biggest fish. The legendary 'Big C'sar'!

  • S02E06 Ransom / Ms. Perfect

    • October 8, 1997

    First Part: Gerald and Arnold get on the case when Timberly loses her Barney-esque doll. Second Part: The new girl is teased at school by Helga and the other girls, but she's soon accepted by everyone.

  • S02E07 Arnold Saves Sid / Hookey

    • October 13, 1997

    First Part: After Arnold saves Sid from injury and Sid devotes himself to paying Arnold back with unending kindness. Second Part: Arnold and Gerald bunk off school, but their day is ruined by their fear of being found out.

  • S02E08 Freeze Frame / Phoebe Cheats

    • October 15, 1997

    First Part: Arnold and Gerald go around the city following 'Porkpie', a mysterious man caught on film. They suspect, because of the clues, that Porkpie and his accomplice are planning to kill 'Marty', who turns out to be Mr. Green. Second Part: In this variation of 'The Tell-Tale Heart', Phoebe plagiarizes from a poetry book and uses one of the poems as her entry in a poetry contest. She wins, with her prize being a trophy resembling poet Emily Dickinson. Then, the trophy haunts Phoebe into confessing.

  • S02E09 Mudbowl / Gerald Moves Out

    First Part: Arnold and the rest of the fourth grade take on the might of the unbeatable fifth graders in a game of touch football. Who'll win this match of brains vs. brute strength? Second Part: Being the middle child in his family, Gerald is feeling so neglected. So he decides to move into the Sunset Arms, where he learns that living alone isn't what it's cracked up to be.

  • S02E10 The High Life / Best Friends

    First Part: Gerald gets in over his financial head selling a sure-fire product. Second Part: Arnold gets caught in the cross fire of Rhonda and Nadine's argument.

    Arnold and Gerald send the neighborhood alien crazy as they broadcast a mock Halloween radio show.

  • S02E12 Steely Phil / Quantity Time

    • October 29, 1997

    First Part: Arnold puts Grandpa through his paces as he trains to take on his old Chinese Checkers rival, Robbie Fisher. Second Part: Miriam decides to visit her mum because Big Bob and Helga are on holiday at the same time. What that means is that father and daughter must spend some 'quantity time' together. Problem is that both of them just seem to rub each other up the wrong way.

  • S02E13 Eating Contest / Rhonda's Glasses

    • November 3, 1997

    First Part: Arnold follows in his Grandpa's footsteps and competes in the annual block party eating contest. After much munching Old Football Head goes stomach to stomach with eating legend Seymour 'The Disposal'. Second Part: Rhonda fails her eye test and has to wear glasses, a major fashion no no in her books. Immediately, she is labelled a geek and hangs out with the geeky kids.

  • S02E14 Helga's Boyfriend / Crush on Teacher

    • November 5, 1997

    First Part: Imagine a romantic triangle between Helga, Stinky, and Arnold! Helga hires Stinky as her boyfriend to make Arnold jealous. But the plan backfires, and now Stinky is getting help from Arnold to win Helga back! Second Part: Miss Slovak is sick, and Arnold has a major crush on Miss Felter, the substitute teacher. But what will he do now that Gerald has found out that Miss Felter has a major crush on HIM?

  • S02E15 Hall Monitor / Harold's Bar Mitzvah

    • November 10, 1997

    First Part: Hall monitor is a big responsibility, so when Helga passes the job down to Phoebe, she also gives Phoebe a crash course in How To Be Tough. But Phoebe learns the lesson a little too well... Second Part: It's time for Harold's Bar Mitzvah, but where is Harold? Nervous about the responsibilities of his faith, he panics and runs away. Can Arnold convince Harold that he has what it takes to be a man?

  • S02E16 Coach Wittenberg / Four-Eyed Jack

    • November 12, 1997

    First Part: Clear the lanes! Helga's bowling against Arnold and Gerald! The stakes are high, so the boys bring in Coach Wittenberg to help with their game. But that only makes things worse... Second Part: Arnold and Gerald stumble upon an old pair of glasses which once belong to a deceased boarder named Four-eyed Jack. Now they're on a ghost hunt through the boarding house, and there's no turning back.

  • S02E17 Eugene Goes Bad / What's Opera, Arnold?

    First Part: Eugene is gutted when he finds out that his favourite movie star doesn't do his own stunts. Arnold tries to cheer his mate up. Second Part: Arnold and the gang go on a class trip to the opera and have grand, musical dreams of their own.

  • S02E18 Tour de Pond / Teachers' Strike

    First Part: History repeats itself when Arnold and Gerald enter the annual toy boat race against Rex the rich kid. The same race that Rex's grandfather cheated Grandpa out of winning years ago. Will the good guys win this time? Second Part: The teachers are on strike, so there's no school! Arnold and Gerald are over the moon until they find out they'll have make up the missed days in summer school. Suddenly, it's time for action!

  • S02E19 Runaway Float / Partners

    First Part: After creating an idea for a parade float, Arnold is confident of it showing up in a parade. Second Part: When the legendary musical duo of Dino and Don Spumoni split up, they each move into the boarding house (unknown to each other). So it's up to Arnold and Gerald to restore harmony...

Season 3

  • S03E01 Helga Blabs It All / Harold the Butcher

    • August 31, 1998

    First Part: While feeling the effects of laughing gas, Helga leaves a confessional message of love on Arnold's phone machine. She then has to get into the boarding house in order to erase the message. Second Part: After Harold shoplifts some meat from the butcher shop, he is sentenced to work off his punishment. Harold realises he has discovered his calling and that he wants to become a butcher.

  • S03E02 Dangerous Lumber / Mr. Hyunh Goes Country

    • September 2, 1998

    First Part: Arnold becomes a hot (and dangerous) hitter. He keeps injuring people everytime he swings the bat. Afraid of hurting more people, Arnold refuses to play ball. Mickey Kaline helps him out. Second Part: Arnold and Gerald manage the career of the most unlikely country-and-western singer, Mr Hyunh.

  • S03E03 Casa Paradiso / Gerald's Tonsils

    • September 7, 1998

    First Part: Grandpa becomes tired of dealing with the boarding house and decides to sell. Arnold has to convince him how important it is for everyone to remain in the boarding house and what they would lose if it was sold. Second Part: Gerald has his tonsils removed before a big concert and must come to grips with the fact that his voice has changed.

  • S03E04 Arnold's Room / Helga vs. Big Patty

    • September 9, 1998

    First Part: Sid pretends that Arnold's room is his, since he's ashamed of showing his real room to Lorenzo. Second Part: After Helga makes fun of Patty too much, Patty challenges Helga to a fight.

  • S03E05 Stinky Goes Hollywood / Olga Gets Engaged

    • September 14, 1998

    First Part: Stinky's simple life changes after he becomes the surprise new spokesman for Ya-Hoo Soda. Second Part: Olga brings home her surprise fiancee who wins everyone over except Helga.

  • S03E06 Curly Snaps / Pre-Teen Scream

    • September 16, 1998

    First Part: Curly gets enraged after a minor playground mix up. He locks himself in the principal's office and refuses to come out. Second Part: Phoebe has a secret crush on a pop star.

  • S03E07 Grandpa's Birthday / Road Trip

    • September 28, 1998

    First Part: Grandpa thinks he's going to die soon because no one in his family ever made it past his age. He prepares to die, and Arnold tries to convince him that life is still worth living. Second Part: Helga and Miriam get stuck on the road together with no money. They get to know one another and Miriam saves the day when she wins a mechanical bull-riding competition.

  • S03E08 Sid's Revenge / Roller Coaster

    • October 7, 1998

    First Part: Principal Wartz gives Sid a detention believeing he placed fake vomit so he could trip over, even though it wasn't Sid who put it there. As a result, Sid seeks revenge and reates 'Revenge Doll' of Wartz's face, like they do in tribes. He thinks he killed Wartz with the curse. Arnold thinks he's paranoid, even though there are a few clues hinting out that Wartz is dead. Second Part: Eugene wants to ride with the gang, but they all think he's a jinx and won't go with him. Arnold decides to break the cycle of pain and rides with Eugene, but they get stuck.

  • S03E09 The Aptitude Test / Oskar Gets a Job

    First Part: After the results of an aptitude test are announced, Harold gains self-confidence and Helga feels dumber. Second Part: Arnold is instrumental in persuading Oskar to actually get off his butt and get a temporary job.

  • S03E10 Arnold Betrays Iggy / Helga and the Nanny

    • October 19, 1998

    First Part: Arnold finds out Iggy wears bunny pajamas with feet in them, and Arnold accidentally spills the beans to Sid and Stinky, ruining Iggy's cool image. Second Part: Big Bob and Miriam hire a Nanny around the house, but she's so perfect that Helga wants to get her out of there.

  • S03E11 Career Day / Hey Harold!

    • October 21, 1998

    First Part: All the kids are paired with adults with interesting jobs except Arnold, who is forced to spend time with the Jolly Olly, the Ice Cream Man. Second Part: Harold is invited to Rhonda's party, though he does not want to go as he thinks nobody will dance with him. While there, he dances with and befriends the female bully, Big Patty, who also had nobody to dance with. The two spend the next day together hanging out, much to the teasing of Stinky and Sid, who begin to tease him by saying he has a crush on her. They already tease Big Patty for being "big and dumb", which upsets Harold.

  • S03E12 Best Man / Cool Party

    • November 2, 1998

    First Part: The Coach wants to remarry Tish and asks Arnold to be his best man. Along the way, Arnold teaches the coach a thing or two about love and sacrifice. Second Part: Rhonda has a party and only invites the cool kids. Arnold attends, but realises her party is only for snobs. He leaves and has his own party with his buddies and eventually Rhonda realises that 'geek' is cooler than 'cool.'

  • S03E13 Arnold & Lila / Grand Prix

    • November 11, 1998

    First Part: Helga, lost in a love reverie, writes 'Arnold loves Helga' on a wall, but changes the name to 'Lila' when the kids approach. Lila thinks that Arnold loves her until he explains the mistake. Then he falls for Lila and she is forced to break up with him. Second Part: The kids all try to outdo each other in a city-wide go-cart race.

  • S03E14 Arnold's Thanksgiving

    • November 18, 1998

    Arnold and Helga both think they are having the worst Thanksgivings ever. Arnold's Family are celebrating President's Day, and Olga is at the Pataki house. When Arnold and Helga go to Mr. Simmons' house, they discover he has a obnoxious family, so they think their families aren't so bad after all.

  • S03E15 Helga's Show / The Flood

    • November 23, 1998

    First Part: Helga preforms impressions of her classmates at the 'Coco Hut', and they get offended and start ignoring her. Second Part: When school is out, Mr. Simmons' class gets stuck in the school because of an upcoming flood. When the class starts getting out of control, Arnold has to think quick.

  • S03E16 Part Time Friends / Biosquare

    • November 30, 1998

    First Part: Arnold is okay with working with Gerald at Mrs. Vitello's flower shop after she's injured and puts Gerald in charge, but not with working for Gerald, which causes the friendship to hit a snag and Arnold quits. Second Part: Helga and Arnold locked in a greenhouse together for 24 hours? Now THERE'S a science fair project! They should both get a great grade on it - if they don't kill each other first.

  • S03E17 Phoebe Takes the Fall / The Pig War

    • December 7, 1998

    First Part: P.S. 118 is holding a Spelling Bee, and Helga wants to win one trophy to get out of Olga's shadow, but Pheobe has to back out of the competition for Helga to make it. Second Part: Grandpa wants to re-enact the Pig War between the Americans and the Britians, but whoever wins gets a choice to eat the pig.....Abner!!

  • S03E18 Crabby Author / Rich Kid

    • December 28, 1998

    First Part: Arnold has to do a book report, and he decides to do it on his favorite author, Agitha Cawfield, but he sees her bad side when she is very crabby & rude to him. Second Part: There is a new kid at P.S. 118, but he isn't the playful type, and he doesn't know the definition of fun, so Arnold and the gang try to teach him to have fun and take a break off his busy schedual.

  • S03E19 Girl Trouble / School Dance

    • January 4, 1999

    First Part: Arnold, Gerald, Helga, and Pheobe are all chosen to work together on a History project, and Helga and Arnold pour pain on each other. Grandpa tells Arnold about his share of girl trouble with his now wife, Gertrude. Second Part: P.S. 118 is have a school dance, and Arnold is chosen to provide the music entertainment for everyone, and when Dino Spumoni agrees to play his farwell concert there, he signs a depressing song.

  • S03E20 School Play

    • January 8, 1999

    The school is doing the play 'Romeo and Juliet'. Arnold lands the role as Romeo so Helga will do anything to beat out other girls to get the part of Juliet, so that she can kiss Arnold in the final scene.

Season 4

  • S04E01 Full Moon / Student Teacher

    • March 10, 1999

    First Part: Arnold's reputation is in danger when he recieves the blame of something Harold, Sid and Stinky did. Second Part: Mr. Simmons has a new assistant teacher: Olga.

  • S04E02 Big Gino / Jamie O in Love

    • March 12, 1999

    First Part: After paying his debt with Big Gino, Sid and him become friends, but Arnold believes that that friendship isn't good for Sid. Second Part: Gerald's brother Jamie O starts dating, and suddenly starts acting nice with Arnold and Gerald. But when Gerald finds out that the girl Jamie O is dating is just using him, he must decide to go back to a life of torment or see his brother suffering for the rest of his life.

  • S04E03 Eugene's Birthday / Stinky's Pumpkin

    • March 17, 1999

    First Part: When Arnold feels guilty about accidentally not sending out invitations to Eugene's Birthday party (because he and Harvey missplaced mail with each other), he tries to Eugene another surprise party. Second Part: Stinky is 'down in the dumps' because he doesn't think he's special and think's he isn't good at anything, but when there is a large Vegetable contest, Stinky tries growing a pumpkin in his backyard.

  • S04E04 The Beeper Queen / Oskar Can't Read?

    • March 29, 1999

    First Part: When Big Bob injures his back, Miriam takes the spot at his job temporarily for him. Miriam is as happy as ever, but Helga starts feeling bad. Second Part: When Oskar cannot read various things, Arnold tries to help him by teaching him and bringing him to the library.

  • S04E05 Dinner for Four / Phoebe Skips

    • March 31, 1999

    First Part: Helga wins a ticket for a free dinner for four a Chez Pierre, and wants to prove to Arnold that she is sophisticated. Second Part: Phoebe gets a chance to skip to the sixth grade after not being challenged enough with the fourth grade, but she is taking orders from her new sixth grade 'friends'.

  • S04E06 Helga's Parrot / Chocolate Turtles

    • April 5, 1999

    First Part: Big Bob gets a new parrot, and the parrot hears Helga talking about how she loves Arnold, and he escapes and lives in Arnold's house trying to recite the poem Helga said. Second Part: Arnold and Gerald try selling chocolate turtles for a profit, but Timberly eats all fouth boxes of them, and they have to get money so they don't get in trouble with the Camp Fire Lass.

  • S04E07 Love and Cheese / Weighing Harold

    • April 7, 1999

    First Part: Arnold takes Lila to the Cheese Festival, and he tries ways so she will 'like like' him, but Helga is there to stop them in their tracks ever step of the way. Second Part: When Harold overhears Stinky and Sid saying he's fat, he go's on a cruise to lose weight, but when he comes back he is very obese.

  • S04E08 Back to School / Egg Story

    • September 11, 1999

    First Part: Grandpa's dream was always to get a High-School Diploma, but he never did because he had to work, so Arnold tries to make him go through grade school over again to fulfill his dream. Second Part: Arnold and Helga get paired up to raise an egg for school, but they end up losing it when they left it on the bus.

  • S04E09 It Girl / Deconstructing Arnold

    • September 18, 1999

    First Part: Everybody starts admiring Helga's way of being angry all the time, and she and her style become the lastest fashion, but she gets annoyed and tries ways to get the spotlight off of her. Second Part: Everybody is sick of Arnold giving them advice of their lives, so they stop listening to him, but they gets problems without his good advice.

  • S04E10 Grudge Match / Polishing Rhonda

He tells Arnold that he wishes Arnold was the son he never had, but he really does have a son, but they share nothing in common.

Arnold, Gerald, Eugene, Harold, and Stinky are scared twice by Helga and Curly, by them pretending to be the ghost of Cynthia Snell, the Ghost Bride. Second Part: Gerald gets jealous because he thinks Jamie O. is trying to steal the girl he likes, when, actually, the girl likes Jamie O.
