A series of mysterious deaths of military personnel bring Jim face to face with the indestructible Colonel "Iron Man" Torres. Crippled in an explosion that he blames on the other men of his company, Torres rebuilt himself as a 19th century cyborg and is seeking revenge on those he thinks wronged him.
West and Gordon are assigned to protect Dr. Raven, who is developing a secret weapon. Raven is a member of a tontine, an investment group whose by-laws state that the surving member of the group gets the assets of the group. When one of the tontine's members is killed and an attempt is made on Raven's life, the agents decide to investigate.
West and Gordon are escorting the Sultan of Ramapur and his gift, a sacred white elephant, to the President. Bandits intercept the train and steal the elephant; then the Sultan demands one million dollars in recompense. West follows the the trail to a gypsy camp and discovers things aren't always what they seem.
Dr. Loveless is back with another plan to take over the world. This time he is using mock-ups of the treasury, prisons and armories to train his men to be able to take over these resources upon his command. After gaining control, Loveless will be instituted as dictator. However, his plan to get rid of West and Gordon goes foul and soon the agents are in hot pursuit of the little villain.
James and Artemus arrive in Mexico with a present for the Mexican president: a beautiful Arabian horse. Within minutes of their arrival, however, the horse is stolen by a group of outlaw bandits. Our heroes must battle the hot Mexican desert to get the horse back before the outlaw Mexican army beats them to it.
The U.S. State department is about to return a valuable samurai sword to its rightful owner, a Japanese prince, when it is stolen by an group of sword-wieding assailants. Jim and Artemus must locate the sword and return it to the prince before he leaves the next afternoon or risk damaging U.S.-Japan relations.
An ancient Aztec map leading to the lost treasure of Montezuma is discovered in Mexico and points to a location in Texas. In order to ensure that a diplomatic incident does not ensue, West and Gordon team up with Colonial Sanchez of Mexico and a noted archeologist in a dangerous trip across the Texan desert in search of the treasure.
Something is happening in the small town of New Athens. Residents are leaving in droves, scared off by a band of seedy cut-throats gathering just outside the town limits. And then there's Michael Trayne, back in town after three years in jail. Jim and Arte must figure out what's happening and save the town before everyone leaves.
On a dusty Californian trail, Jim and Artemus intercept a stagecoach whose driver has been hired to smuggle boll weevils. Quickly theorizing that someone is trying to destroy the country's cotton crop, they set out to find the mastermind of the operation and destroy his distribution system before his plan succeeds.
The Vipers are a gang of ruthless crooks who have been looting a string of Kansas towns, robbing banks and killing citizens. They even robbed the Cottonwood Bank while James West was trying to convice the sheriff of the danger. Now the trail leads to Freedom, Kansas, where Jim and Arte must stop the Vipers before the Vipers stop them.
While investigating why fishing had been prohibited on local waters, agents James West and Artemus Gordon meet Lt. Bartlett, but are attacked by a rough bunch of sailors. After the melee, West joins a resolute fisherman on his boat and are attacked by a giant squid. But things are not what they appear as an even more insidious threat is revealed.
Agent Artemus Gordon and the curator of the San Francisco Museum are attacked in the Egyptian exhibit by three men wearing gas masks. When agents West and Mr. Heisel, the Egyptian government's representative, enter the room, they are also attacked. After regaining consciousness, the men discover that a priceless ruby has been stolen from the eye of the statue of Sun God, Ra.
While Arte's away, Jeremy Pike works with Agent West who raids a local warehouse in an attempt to apprehend a suspected opium gang member. As he struggles with the suspect, a new secret agent named Bosley Cranston rushes in and attempts to help, but only makes matters worse. Later, they learn Cranston isn't as inept as they first thought.
West has received a note from agent Gordon summoning him to the local barbershop; where he is promptly anesthetized by a hot towel. After learning about a series of kidnappings, Jim and Jeremy Pike's investigation leads to the sinister Dr. Loveless who's waiting with his latest invention and dastardly plan.
After a series of disturbing incidents involving a raven that seems to hynoptize high-ranking officials into committing dastardly deeds, Agents West and Harper decide to find out what's going on. The incidents lead the new partners to a group calling themselves "The Raven", led by Thaddeus Toombs and a man called Tycho.
West meets up with Gordon who, urged by President Grant, has just arrived in New Orleans to escort a famous Italian diva and niece of the ambassador. Discovering that several divas had recently disappeared in New Orleans, the agents must rush to unravel a plot involving the secret Order of Lucia and reveal who, among their new acquaintances, is playing a role on and off the stage.
West and Gordon are mixed up in the affairs of the royal family of Karovnia when they come to the US fleeing from assassins in their home country. The agents find that the evil Count Balkovitch is pursuing them, looking for an icon he needs to possess to hold power in Karovnia. Of course, the Count is not acting alone and the agents must discover who is assisting him before his sinister plans are accomplished.
West deals with the kidnapping of the Governor's daughter while Gordon rushes to find Jim to inoculate him from the disease one of the criminals was carrying. The disease proves to be the turning point in the fight between the feds and the criminals when Gordon convinces the gang to surrender in exchange for the cure.
In the year 1885. after years of retirement West is called in from his Mexican home, and Gordon is taken off the road as a Shakespearian actor to track down and arrest Dr. Michelito Loveless, Jr. The evil son of their most famous opponent has kidnapped the heads of state of countries from around the world and replaced them with duplicates under his control. West and Gordon must stop him before President Cleveland is replaced, but the job won't be easy as the mad scientist has at his disposal a wide assortment of advanced weapons-ranging from robots to atomic bombs.
West and Gordon only want to remain in retirement, but the secret service is determined to use their expertise. They are convinced to stop another mad scientist, this time Albert Paradine, an evil genius who can become invisible at will and now plans to take over the world.
The two best hired guns in the West must save President Grant from the clutches of a nineteenth-century inventor-villain. Jim West is a guns-a-blazing former Civil War hero. Artemus Gordon is an inventive U.S. Marshal who excels in disguise. When the United States is threatened by psychotic Confederate Arliss Loveless, President Ulysses Grant teams the duo up to bring him to justice. On a hazard-packed train journey from Washington D.C. to Utah, West and Gordon must combine their skills to best Loveless and his diabolical machines.
