The Fireball XL5 narrowly misses a planet that has broken out of it's orbit and they realize the planet is on a collision course for the planet, Membrono. After concluding the planets are uninhabited, Steve realizes he saw a flying saucer. After the ship lands at Venus' house, the XL5 is lured back to save the planet Membrono from destruction.
In this extended version of the documentary 'A Wonderland of Startdust' join Gerry Anderson, Sylvia Anderson and members of the AP Films crew as they discuss the development, production, and release of cult Supermarionation favourite Fireball XL5. Taking their puppet productions to the starts, this series proved a success in America as well as the UK and was a launching pad for further hits like Stingray, Thunderbirds, and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
