We'll start with something that everyone loves to do, which is opening the hips and lower back. It's easy for us to accumulate tension and tightness in these areas from sitting all day and driving or commuting, so it'll feel awesome to unravel all of that nonsense and get back to balance :)
In this yoga workout for the chest and shoulders, we'll mainly be focused on opening the chest and shoulders, and improving our posture along the way. I especially love doing a flow like this right after I get out of bed or stop working for the day because it's a great way to undo all the weird posture we hold in our sleep or while sitting at a desk all day.
Today's 15-Minute Yoga Workout for posture is a yoga class that's all about improving our posture. We'll focus on getting into some of those deeper muscles in the back so that we can stand a little taller and feel stronger overall.
Today's class is all about the abs! We'll have a few "ab" days over the course of the challenge, and I'll be honest with you-- it won't be easy, but if you put your mind to it, I know you can do it. And think of it this way: it's only about 10 minutes at a time, and you can almost anything for 10 minutes, right? ;) I thought so.
Welcome back for your next round of core-centric yoga! Today's class is focused on strengthening the core in a different way than we did yesterday. Our "core" consists of so many different muscles, so it's important that we don't leave any untouched. You don't need anything special! Just keep an open mind and a strong belief in yourself and you'll be ready to take on today's flow :)
Today's flow is all about taking care of the lower back. It's super common to have lower back pain which is inconvenient... but the good news is that a lot of times it has a pretty easy fix. Usually we just need to stretch things out and move our bodies in ways we don't think about throughout our day. So if you find yourself with tightness or pain in the low back, this may be just the solution you need!
As a mini-celebration for our first week in the books, I want us to tackle one of the most elusive poses in yoga: Crow Pose. We see it all the time in pictures on social media and in classes, but seeing it in pictures and knowing how to get there is totally different.
