Adrian Chiles is on hand with the last word on the weekend's Premier League action, including highlights from Sunday's matches. Liverpool travel to Manchester City. The teams drew 2-2 at Anfield earlier in the 2009/10 season, but the Reds have not lost on their last four visits to Eastlands, including coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2 thanks to an injury time Dirk Kuyt goal on their previous visit. Tottenham's 9-1 thrashing of Wigan at White Hart Lane in November 2009 is one of the season's most astonishing results, and the Latics have their chance for revenge at the DW Stadium. There is a battle of claret and blue when Aston Villa host Burnley, while Birmingham will look to do the double over Fulham when the sides meet at Craven Cottage. Alan Hansen analyses the action in the studio.

Liverpool meet Blackburn at Anfield. It has not been the easiest of campaigns for Rafael Benitez and he will be hoping for a repeat of last season's result when the Reds won 4-0, rather than the 0-0 draw they were held to at Ewood Park before Christmas. Tottenham and Everton come face-to-face at White Hart Lane - the two sides shared a dramatic draw at Goodison Park in December when Spurs led 2-0 with 12 minutes to go, only to concede two goals and then miss an injury-time penalty. Sunderland and Fulham began the season well but have found the going tougher in recent months, so three points would be very welcome for both sides at Craven Cottage. including Arsenal against Burnley and Manchester United's trip to Wolves.

There is just one match in the Premier League today but recent history suggests it could produce plenty of goals. Everton and Hull have met in both league and cup this season, with the two games yielding nine goals. The Toffees won 4-0 in the Carling Cup but came unstuck in the league meeting, losing 3-2, although they did stage an exciting second-half fightback from being 3-0 down at half-time.

Adrian Chiles is joined by Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon for the last word on the weekend's Premier League action. Title challengers Manchester United and Chelsea are both in action in the north-west, with United hosting arch rivals Liverpool while Chelsea visit Blackburn. Games between Manchester United and Liverpool are always highly charged, but at this late stage of the season the fixture takes on even greater significance. Defeat for United would severely dent their chances of an unprecedented fourth consecutive league title, while Liverpool can ill afford slip-ups in the scrap for a Champions League slot. United won't be counting on any favours from Blackburn, who have failed to score against Chelsea in any of their last seven league meetings. Nonetheless, Rovers have proved obdurate opponents at Ewood Park under Sam Allardyce and have already enjoyed success at home to Chelsea this season, knocking Carlo Ancelotti's side out of the League Cup in a penalty shootout.

    • BBC Two

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the day's two Premier League games, as well as rounding up the rest of the weekend's action. Lancashire clubs Burnley and Blackburn met at Turf Moor, where their rivalry began 122 years ago. Rovers romped to a 7-1 league win in that inaugural meeting and were unbeaten in their last seven matches with Burnley going into this game. A repeat scoreline was unlikely, however, given Blackburn's poor away form and Burnley's desperate need for points in their fight against relegation. In the day's other game, Liverpool were vying to further their Champions League credentials at the expense of Sunderland at Anfield. Sunderland's form has nosedived in the five months since Darren Bent scored their infamous winning goal in the reverse fixture with a shot which deflected off a beach ball. Conversely, Liverpool's results have improved considerably since Christmas and they will be confident of preserving an unbeaten home run against Sunderland which dates back to 1983.

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the Premier League match between Everton and West Ham at Goodison Park. Everton's 2-1 victory over the Hammers in November ended a barren spell for the Merseysiders and was one of only four league wins before Christmas for them. However, 2010 has seen them go from strength to strength and the Toffees are now challenging for a European spot. West Ham find themselves in a real relegation battle and needed to get something out of today's game.

    • BBC Two

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the four Premier League games, plus a review of Saturday's action. The battle for fourth place and qualification for next season's Champions League continues with both Liverpool and Manchester City in action. Liverpool host Fulham, who shocked the Anfield club back in October with a 3-1 victory in a game that also saw the Reds reduced to nine men. Expectations at Manchester City were high back in August, but opponents Birmingham have arguably been the season's biggest success story. Nevertheless, the Manchester club remain in the mix for a fourth-place finish, and will be confident of preserving an unbeaten home record against the Blues that dates back to 1998. Blackburn host champions Manchester United at Ewood Park. Sir Alex Ferguson's side have won the last four meetings between the sides, and haven't lost away at their North West rivals since 2006. The day's other game sees relegation-threatened Wolves host Stoke at Molineux.

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the day's Premier League matches, with Arsenal looking to continue their title push against Wigan at the DW Stadium. Arsenal were 4-0 winners when these sides met earlier in the season and have never lost to Wigan in the league. However, both Chelsea and Liverpool have been beaten at Wigan this season so Arsene Wenger's side will know they face a tough task. Aston Villa meet Portsmouth at Fratton Park, aiming to move a step nearer to European football next season. Plus there is a round-up of Saturday's action and a look at some of the weekend's more light-hearted moments in 2Good 2Bad.

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the day's four Premier League fixtures as Aston Villa look to seal a sixth straight derby day victory over neighbours Birmingham City. Local boy Gabby Agbonlahor scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at St Andrews last September. Chelsea host Stoke at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are unbeaten at home in the league against Stoke since suffering a 1-0 loss in an old First Division encounter in April 1974. Can the Potters repeat that feat 36 years on? Liverpool visit Turf Moor for their first league fixture at Burnley since 1975, and Everton host Fulham. There is also a chance to catch up on all the goals from 24 April.

Adrian Chiles presents highlights of the day's Premier League games, plus a review of Saturday's action. It's the Reds versus the Blues at Anfield as Liverpool host Chelsea. Rafa Benitez's side won this fixture 2-0 last season, but were beaten by the same scoreline at Stamford Bridge in October. Manchester United travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland, managed by former United captain Steve Bruce. And there's a London derby at Craven Cottage where Fulham take on West Ham.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's Premier League games, including the match between Everton and Liverpool. Merseyside derbies are usually fast and frenetic affairs, with the last 11 league games producing 19 red cards. Liverpool's Sotirios Kyrgiakos and Everton's Marouane Fellaini were both dismissed when the sides last met before Dirk Kuyt grabbed the winner for the Reds. The day's other game sees newly-promoted Blackpool host Manchester City at Bloomfield Road. While City have spent a fortune in the hope of becoming a Premier League force, Ian Holloway guided Blackpool to promotion from the Championship on a shoestring budget. Most pundits tipped the Tangerines to struggle before the start of the season, but there have been some encouraging signs from Holloway's side so far.

City won this fixture 4-2 last season but the match made the headlines for all the wrong reasons when City striker Emmanuel Adebayor - signed from Arsenal - incensed some of the Gunners fans by running the length of the pitch to celebrate his goal in front of them. Elsewhere, Manchester United are at Stoke, while Liverpool will hope to put their poor start to the season behind them when they play Blackburn at Anfield.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's two Premier League matches and a round-up of the rest of the weekend's action. West Brom and West Ham face north-east opposition, with Newcastle travelling to the Hawthorns and Sunderland hosting the Hammers. Promoted pair West Brom and Newcastle have acquitted themselves well in the top flight this season. The Baggies have won at Arsenal and held Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Newcastle put six past Villa and scored five against Sunderland. Both league meetings were drawn last season, and West Brom have not claimed all three points in 17 attempts since Boxing Day 1984. West Ham have taken 10 points out of the last 12 against Sunderland and already won at the Stadium of Light this season, in the League Cup. Having made a poor start to the campaign, West Ham will be desperate to keep that good run going.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, which were all derby games. There is also a chance to see the goals from all of Saturday's games in the top flight. Having struggled to beat Chelsea for years, Tottenham were looking for a third consecutive home win over the Blues at White Hart Lane today. Spurs' last victory in April threatened to derail Chelsea's title hopes and although Carlo Ancelotti's side were eventually crowned champions, his players will be determined to avenge that defeat today. Birmingham have won their last three league matches against Wolves, including the last meeting at St Andrew's in February when they had to rely on two late Kevin Phillips goals. Wolves had home advantage today although that didn't help them in their only previous derby this season, when they conceded a late Emile Heskey goal to lose 2-1 at home to Aston Villa. Bolton against Blackburn is always a fiercely contested derby match. With the New Year just begun, who will start 2011 in style? There are highlights from the day's two Premier League matches, with the feature being Chelsea's match with Aston Villa. Champions Chelsea won this corresponding fixture at Stamford Bridge 7-1 last season, but Villa tightened up their defence to earn a goalless draw with the Blues at Villa Park back in October. The goals have dried up for Carlo Ancelotti's side after their blistering beginning to the season, but they will be desperate to get the New Year off to a good start as they bid to retain their Premier League title. The day's other game sees Wigan host Newcastle. The Geordies have a dismal record in away matches with the Latics and have lost all four of their Premier League matches at the DW Stadium. Roberto Martinez's side almost pulled off another victory over Newcastle in October, but they threw away a 2-0 lead at St James' Park to draw 2-2.

City have a good recent record against the Blues, winning the last three meetings, with their talisman Carlos Tevez finding the net in all three games. The last time Blackpool faced Fulham at Craven Cottage, these sides were both in the third tier. The animosity between the clubs may have cooled in recent seasons, but the competitive fire still burns for rival managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. Their head-to-head record is identical, but it is Ferguson who has emerged the victor in the last three meetings. Arsenal desperately need a reversal of fortune as they seek a first trophy since 2005.

Colin Murray introduces highlights from the day's Premier League matches. Chelsea travel to Manchester United looking to make amends for what has been a disappointing season for the Blues, who claimed a league and cup double last season. Victory at Old Trafford would be some comfort after Sir Alex Ferguson's side knocked them out of the Champions League. It is always a big game when Wolves play West Brom, and with both sides in the relegation battle, there will be even more riding on the match at Molineux. The day's other game sees Arsenal visit Stoke, where the Gunners left it very late for victory last season in a game marred by a serious injury to Aaron Ramsey.

High-flying Chelsea take on Newcastle at Stamford Bridge looking for an all-important victory, and fellow London club Arsenal look to sign off their home season in style against Aston Villa. At the bottom, Wigan take on West Ham at the DW Stadium in a crunch relegation clash, with precious points at stake for either side in their bid to beat the drop. Carling Cup winners Birmingham, who have struggled since winning that trophy at Wembley in February, host Fulham. Meanwhile, Liverpool meet Tottenham at Anfield, with both sides looking for the victory to help secure European football for next season.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's top-flight games, plus a review of Saturday's action, in Match of the Day 2. Premier League champions Manchester United begin the defence of their crown with a trip to West Brom. The Baggies were the only visiting team to claim a league point at Old Trafford last season, but their home record against the Red Devils is less impressive - United have won their last seven league games at the Hawthorns. The reigning champions have bolstered their squad this summer with the signings of Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be hopeful of securing a fifth Premier League title in six seasons. Chelsea's first game under new manager Andre Villas-Boas is an awkward trip to Stoke, who were last season's beaten FA Cup finalists. Villas-Boas arrived at Stamford Bridge after a hugely successful season with FC Porto, prompting inevitable comparisons with Jose Mourinho, who led the Blues to back-to-back Premier League titles.

It's a quick return to the Reebok Stadium for City, whose 2-0 win over the Trotters on the final day of last season helped them secure a third-place finish. Premier League football returns to Carrow Road for the first time since 2005 as Norwich take on Stoke. Paul Lambert's side were the surprise package in last season's Championship, but they face a real step up in class against the Potters, who were beaten finalists in the FA Cup final back in May. The day's other game is at Molineux, where Fulham take a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mick McCarthy's men narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of last season, and his Wolves side will be hungry to get points on the board quickly this year. Colin Murray is joined by Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon for highlights of the day's four Premier League matches, including Manchester United against Arsenal and Tottenham versus Manchester City. Champions United twice beat Arsenal at Old Trafford last season, in the league and FA Cup, and have strengthened their squad in the summer with the big-money additions of David de Gea, Ashley Young and Phil Jones. By contrast, Arsenal endured a turbulent off-season, with the futures of unsettled pair Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri dominating the headlines. However, the Gunners deservedly beat United when they last met in May and their encounters over the years have usually been tight. Tottenham are unbeaten at home to Manchester City since 2003, but were usurped in the top four by Roberto Mancini's side last season. Ambitious City have again spent big this summer as they seek to win the league title, with Argentine forward Sergio Aguero becoming their record signing. There are also highlights from the Hawthorns, where West Brom take on Stoke, and action from St James' Park, the venue for Newcastle's match against Fulham.

The day's other game sees Fulham host Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage - it was also 3-2 when those teams last met in March. The London club made a terrible start to life in the Premier League, suffering a 4-0 home defeat to Bolton, but since then manager Neil Warnock has brought in several experienced players, including ex-Villa full-back Luke Young and former Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton. Title contenders City have failed to score in their last three league games against the Gunners, but with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli among the goals this season, they will be confident of ending that run. Arsenal's last visit to Manchester saw them concede eight goals against Manchester United, and the Gunners have not won at City since 2008 - so history seems against them. City's neighbours, Manchester United are also in action against London opposition, with Sir Alex Ferguson's title chasing outfit hitting the road and taking on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. Neil Warnock's side have had a solid start in their return to top flight but they have not beaten the Red Devils since a famous 4-1 win on New Year's Day back in 1992. The reigning champions beat Spurs 3-0 back in August, but Harry Redknapp's side have recovered to mount a sustained title challenge. It is 11 years since Tottenham last beat United, but with world-class players such as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale at their disposal, Spurs can be a match for any team on their day. Sir Alex Ferguson's men have enjoyed facing London sides so far this season, winning six of seven league games against opposition from the capital, with the only exception their remarkable 3-3 draw with Chelsea. Wolves head south to face Fulham at Craven Cottage, where they have not won a top-flight fixture since 1967, and the day's early kick-off sees high-flying Newcastle play in-form Sunderland. The match will be Martin O'Neill's first Tyne-Wear derby since taking charge of the Black Cats in December. Colin Murray presents highlights of today's two Premier League matches which see relegation threatened Wolves host title chasing Manchester United and high-flying Newcastle take on Norwich. United were comprehensive 4-1 winners when Wolves visited Old Trafford in December - but the Molineux faithful will remember last season's fixture when the men in gold inflicted a first league defeat of the season on Sir Alex Ferguson's side, a result which lifted Wolves off the bottom of the table, and proved vital in their narrow escape from relegation. The Midlands side, who last month sacked Mick McCarthy and gave his assistant Terry Connor the top job until the end of the season, are in another relegation battle in this campaign - and another famous victory could once again prove crucial. Newcastle have had a brilliant season under manager Alan Pardew and a win today would keep up their hopes of qualifying for European football. Norwich likewise have been outstanding this season - and since gaining promotion have won many friends in the Premier League for their brand of quality football played under their inspirational manager Paul Lambert. Martin Jol's Fulham side made an excellent start to the season at home, keeping clean sheets in three out of their first four matches at Craven Cottage. Rafael Benitez takes charge of Chelsea for the first time, hosting champions Manchester City, who have recorded only two Premier League victories from 15 visits to Stamford Bridge. Brendan Rodgers takes his Liverpool side to former club Swansea for the first time since his summer switch to Anfield. The Swans won the corresponding fixture 1-0 last season and kept clean sheets in both games against the Reds last term. Games between Arsenal and City and have been tight, low-scoring affairs in recent seasons and last year's corresponding fixture at the Emirates was no exception, with Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta scoring the only goal three minutes from the end. At Old Trafford, Manchester United will be vying to complete the double over Liverpool, having beaten their great rivals at Anfield in September courtesy of Robin van Persie's late penalty.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's two heavyweight matches in the Premier League, in which Chelsea host Arsenal and Tottenham play Manchester United. Earlier in the season Chelsea enjoyed an excellent win over Arsenal at the Emirates, triumphing 2-1 thanks to goals from Juan Mata and Fernando Torres. It kept the Blues top of the league but they have since struggled and have, of course, replaced manager Roberto Di Matteo. Tottenham produced one of the results of the season so far when they pulled off a historic victory over Manchester United back in September. Their 3-2 win was their first at Old Trafford for 23 years, and the 1989-90 season was the last time they completed the double over the Red Devils.

Everton caused a stir when they beat Manchester United 1-0 in their opening match of the season, and David Moyes's side have gone on to show that the victory was no fluke. But that was on their home turf - how will they fare at Old Trafford? Aston Villa suffered a 1-0 defeat in their season opener away at West Ham, who they now face again. Things have not got much easier for the West Midlands side, although they could take hope from the fact that they did the double over the Hammers last season, thanks to Gabriel Agbonlahor's injury-time winner at Upton Park.

Swansea could be forgiven for having one eye on next weekend's League Cup final against Bradford, when the Swans have the chance to win the first major trophy in their history. Rodgers' replacement at the Liberty Stadium, Michael Laudrup, has enjoyed a successful start to his Premier League career, with the recruitment of prolific Spanish forward Michu proving one of the signings of the season. Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League fixtures: the top-of-the-table meeting between Manchester City and Chelsea, and Newcastle's game with fellow strugglers Southampton. Samir Nasri's late winner for Manchester City in last season's corresponding fixture against Chelsea kept them firmly in the title race and they were in need of a repeat of that result today. The two sides contested a drab goalless draw earlier in the season, memorable only for the hostile reception from Chelsea's supporters toward the club's new manager Rafa Benitez. Chelsea's subsequent exit from all cup competitions has hardly appeased the fans, and the deposed European champions cannot afford to falter in their quest for Champions League qualification. In the day's other game, Newcastle and Southampton were looking for the three points that would help them move away from relegation danger. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, including two mouthwatering derbies, with Liverpool hosting Manchester United and Arsenal in action against north London rivals Tottenham. With analysis from John Hartson, Gus Poyet and Danny Murphy. The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, England's two most successful clubs, ensures games between the two north west teams are always fiercely competitive. But today's fixture has an added edge following United's recruitment of manager David Moyes, who has arrived after 11 years in charge of Liverpool's cross-city rivals Everton. The Scot never won a game at Anfield while in charge of the Toffees, and will want to put that record right with his new club. Derby matches can sometimes be cagey affairs, but games between Arsenal and Tottenham invariably produce entertainment. The previous six meetings have yielded a total of 31 goals - including 5-2 wins for Arsenal in the previous two matches at the Emirates. The Gunners once again edged Spurs to clinch Champions League qualification last season, so Andre Villas-Boas' side will be out for revenge. It is the first Manchester derby of the season, with the managers of both United and City getting their first taste of this unique rivalry. David Moyes will be used to the intensity of such games, having overseen plenty of Merseyside derbies in his time as Everton manager. However, the Scot had a poor record in those clashes, and will be hoping for a change of fortunes now he is at Manchester United. His opposite number, Manuel Pellegrino, was sacked after just a season at Real Madrid - in part because his side finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona - so the Chilean also understands the importance of getting the better of big rivals. The home side are looking to make amends for their 4-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup third round last month. Goals from Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and a brace from Jermain Defoe gave the visitors a comfortable win, although the hosts were controversially denied a clear-cut penalty early in the second half. Tottenham also won 4-0 on their last Premier League visit to Villa Park, with Gareth Bale scoring a hat-trick. The Welshman has since left White Hart Lane to join Real Madrid, but the Londoners have reinvested the proceeds from his sale, purchasing exciting talents such as Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. Highlights on a huge day of Premier League football as Liverpool entertain Manchester City and Chelsea travel to Swansea; two matches that could go a long way to deciding the 2013-14 champions. Both subsequent league matches at Anfield have been drawn and with the league title in reach for both sides it promises to be another closely fought yet engrossing encounter. Mark Chapman introduces highlights from the day's three Premier League fixtures, in which Liverpool host Chelsea, Crystal Palace meet Manchester City and Sunderland play Cardiff. Liverpool's hopes of securing a first league championship since 1990 will receive a major boost if they beat title rivals Chelsea at Anfield. The Reds have been the Premier League's most improved side this season, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge establishing themselves as arguably the most feared strike force in the top flight. Blues boss Jose Mourinho has repeatedly played down his chances of lifting the Premier League trophy this season, but victory at Anfield would be a potentially season-defining moment. The third side in the title equation, Manchester City, face an awkward away game against Crystal Palace, who have already beaten Chelsea on home turf this season. The newly-promoted Eagles struggled at the start of the campaign but have been reinvigorated following the appointment of manager Tony Pulis. The day's other game sees Sunderland take on Cardiff. Both sides have been embroiled in relegation struggles this season, and desperately need a win as they try to claw their way to safety. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League games, which see Tottenham host Queens Park Rangers, Hull City face Stoke City and Sunderland take on Manchester United. Tottenham's game against QPR sees Rangers boss Harry Redknapp return to White Hart Lane for the first time since being sacked by Spurs in 2012. Tottenham have struggled to replace Redknapp, with successors Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood also eventually deemed surplus to requirements. Sherwood's departure in May saw Mauricio Pochettino appointed Spurs' current boss and this will be the Argentine's first competitive home match at White Hart Lane. Another recent managerial appointment, Manchester United's Louis van Gaal, takes his side to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland. The Dutchman guided his native country to a third-place finish at the 2014 World Cup before taking over the Red Devils, who ended a disappointing seventh in last season's Premier League. The day's other game sees last season's FA Cup finalists Hull take on Stoke, who are hoping to build on their encouraging ninth-place finish in 2013-14. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League games, in which Tottenham host Liverpool and Leicester host Arsenal. This corresponding fixture last season saw Liverpool win 5-0 at White Hart Lane, a result which saw then-Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas sacked. However, two of the Reds' five goals were scored by Luis Suarez, and this season they will have to cope without the Uruguayan livewire, who was allowed to join Barcelona in the summer. The day's second kick-off sees newly promoted Leicester host Arsenal. The Foxes comfortably won last season's Championship, finishing nine points clear of their nearest rivals, but face a step up in class against the Gunners. Arsene Wenger's side ended their nine-year wait for silverware by winning the FA Cup last season, but the recruitment of former Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, who starred for Chile at the World Cup, has left Gunners fans dreaming of a first league title since 2004. Mark and guests also look back at the goals from Saturday's matches.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the match between Manchester United and Queens Park Rangers. The last time QPR played at Old Trafford, Harry Redknapp watched from the stands before officially taking over as manager of the club. He was powerless to stop them being relegated to the Championship, but they are now back in the Premier League and are hoping to end a miserable run of results against the Red Devils. They have failed to register a victory over Manchester United in the Premier League and last beat them back in 1992, when they won 4-1 at Old Trafford. This match is also notable for Rio Ferdinand's return to Old Trafford. The defender made 454 appearances in a 12-year stay at Man Utd in which he won six league titles, two League Cups, one Champions League and a Club World Cup before joining QPR in the summer. The Eagles stunned Chelsea earlier this season with Joel Ward's late winner earning them their first victory at Stamford Bridge since 1982. However, Jose Mourinho's side won this fixture last season and the champions are keen to start the year with three points. In the day's late game, Tottenham make the journey to Merseyside to take on Everton. Spurs are unbeaten in six meetings with the Toffees and Harry Kane scored the winner when the teams met in this fixture on the final day of last season. Manchester United have won the last three, including a 3-1 victory in September which was memorable for Christian Benteke's overhead kick and a stunning debut goal by Anthony Martial. Mark Chapman presents highlights of Sunday's Premier League matches, with Arsenal hosting Chelsea and Swansea City travelling to Everton. Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 in September, but that win has proved a rare bright spot in a disappointing season for the Blues, whose poor league form eventually cost manager Jose Mourinho his job. Things have gone more smoothly for long-serving Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, with the outstanding form of midfield playmaker Mesut Ozil helping the Gunners reach the new year top of the table - and hopeful of a first league title since 2004. Everton will also be hopeful of a strong end to the season, with the attacking talents of Romelu Lukaku, Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley giving them a real cutting edge. However, the Toffees have lacked consistency and will be keen to capitalise against a Swansea side who have faded after a good start to the campaign. Leicester play Southampton, having fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point in the reverse fixture at St Mary's in October, a display which encapsulated their never-say-die approach that has put them firmly among the title contenders this season. In contrast, it has not been a vintage campaign by Manchester United's usual high standards. This afternoon the Reds host Everton, who have also underachieved so far this season. The Foxes haven't lost at home in this fixture since 1950 and won 3-0 in south Wales earlier this season courtesy of a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick. Arsenal's title hopes are seemingly remote but they are still pushing for a 20th consecutive top-four finish and can ill-afford to slip up against struggling Sunderland, who have only won this fixture once in 15 years. City were champions in 2012 and 2014 but have been too inconsistent this season to challenge for a third Premier League title. The two sides played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in December, which Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta described as ‘one of the most intense I’ve witnessed in 20 years in this league’. They met again just weeks later in the third round of the FA Cup, with Liverpool emerging with the bragging rights following a 2-0 win. That result meant the Gunners have won just one of their last nine matches against the Reds, a record they will be desperate to improve on as the title race heads towards its final stretch. Mark Chapman presents highlights of the day’s Premier League clash as West Ham welcome Champions League hopefuls Aston Villa to the London Stadium. Unai Emery has worked wonders at Villa, transforming his side into one of the top flight’s most exciting outfits. They will be desperate for three points as they battle to secure a top-four spot that would see them play in Europe’s premier cup competition for the first time since they were defending champions in 1982-83. West Ham won a European trophy last season under David Moyes, but there has been fan discontent towards the Scotsman in what has been a topsy-turvy campaign so far for the Hammers.
