I bambini del Villaggio Incantato sono convinti che Pinocchio sia un eroe perché Lumignolo ha raccontato loro che ha messo in fuga un terribile mostro del bosco. In realtà, le cose non sono andate proprio così, ma il burattino non riesce a dire tutta la verità. E rischia di cacciarsi nei guai, per colpa di Volpek.
Suite à un malentendu, Pinocchio devient un héros, admiré des copains pour avoir "sauvé Lumignon" d'un monstre - qui n'est en réalité qu'un ourson. Jaloux de l'aura du héros à qui le succès monte à la tête, Volpek manipule Paulo, le fils du Grand méchant loup, pour le persuader que Pinocchio terrorise les copains, afin que le Louveteau lui donne une correction. Angoissé par la perspective d'une confrontation avec Paulo, Pinocchio multiplie les stratagèmes pour y échapper. En vain.
Pinocchio und Luzio werden im Wald von einem Monster verfolgt. Während Luzio sich auf einem Baum versteckt, kümmert sich Pinocchio um das Monster. Luzio erzählt allen von Pinocchios Heldentat. Volpek ärgert sich darüber und heckt einen Plan aus, um Pinocchios Heldenmut zu widerlegen. Zufällig trifft er Paulo, den Sohn des gefürchteten bösen Wolfs. Der hat schlimme Zahnschmerzen, doch bevor Volpek ihn zum Arzt bringt, muss er ihm einen Gefallen tun.
Pinocchio en Luzio worden in het bos achtervolgd door een monster. Terwijl Luzio zich in een boom verstopt, bekommert Pinocchio voor het monster. Luzio vertelt iedereen over Pinocchio's heldendaad. Volpek ergert zich hieraan en bedenkt een plan om Pinocchio's heldendaad te weerleggen. Bij toeval ontmoet hij Paulo, de zoon van de gevreesde Grote Boze Wolf. Paulo heeft vreselijke kiespijn, maar voordat Volpek hem naar de dokter brengt, moet hij hem een plezier doen.
Pinocchio and Luzio are being chased by a monster in the forest. While Luzio hides in a tree, Pinocchio takes care of the monster. Luzio tells everyone about Pinocchio's heroic deed. Volpek is annoyed by this and devises a plan to refute Pinocchio's heroism. By chance, he meets Paulo, the son of the dreaded Big Bad Wolf. Paulo has a terrible toothache, but before Volpek takes him to the doctor, he has to do him a favor.
