    Forgive Us Our Debts combines a classic parable about forgiveness with the teachings of Jesus to his disciples. Jesus shows his love by teaching that forgiveness is from God, as he instructs Peter to catch a fish where he’ll find a coin in its mouth to pay the temple tax. Jesus teaches about a man who owes his king ten thousand talents, which is an enormous amount of money, that he can’t pay. The king takes pity and forgives him of the debt. Yet, the forgiven man leaves and immediately casts another, who owes him almost nothing, into prison.

    Treasures in Heaven is a wonderful story of contrast between two men who seek to follow Jesus. The young rich man asks how to gain eternal life and leaves saddened because he won’t forsake worldly wealth; while Zacchaeus, the publican, gives half of his wealth to the poor and restores four-fold anything wrongly taken, to follow Jesus and receive salvation.

  • S02E01 Jesus, the Son of God

  • S02E02 Bread from Heaven

    Bread from Heaven is an account of how Jesus has compassion for the multitudes that have come to hear Him minister. The story begins with a young street urchin named Jonas who is begging for each bit of food he can get. After an incident of trickery, he takes bread from the local bakers, Zeke and Jethro. He refuses to share his bread with an old man who is weak and clearly in need of nourishment. Later Jonas finds himself listening to the words of Jesus on the mountain. He is inspired by His message. When Jesus asks for food to feed the people, Jonas unselfishly offers the five loaves and two fishes. After Jesus prays over the food, the disciples feed the people. Zeke and Jethro are amazed at the miracle of feeding the masses and come up with a plan to make Jesus king. They want Jesus to perform miracles so they will no longer have to work. When Jesus tells them He is the Bread of Life, the bakers think He is joking and return to their ovens.

  • S02E03 The Greatest is the Least

    • January 13, 1997

    In the years following His resurrection, Jesus’ disciples learn to practice His lessons on serving others. While working at the salt mine, James witnesses the battles of two co-workers fighting their power and might to be number one. He remembers being with Jesus as He welcomed and embraced the children and humbly kneeled to wash the disciples’ feet. His compassionate acts demonstrate that the way to greatness in His Kingdom is not found in how many serve you, but in how many you serve. James takes this lesson to heart and gladly serves a less fortunate friend.

  • S02E04 The Lost is Found

    Those who recognize their won sins often rejoice that Jesus would want to help anyone so lost. Three such sinners – Matthew the Publican, Miriam the harlot and a sick man name Jonah come to Jesus in needs of hope, healing and forgiveness.   • S02E05 Lazarus Lives

    Mortal’s greatest fear is death. Lazarus Lives gives assurance that Jesus has all power over death. This is miraculously shown when the Master travels to meet Lazarus’ sisters, Martha and Mary, after Lazarus has lain dead in the tomb for four days. When Jesus comes to Bethany, He mourns Lazarus’ death and His friends witness the deep love He has for His friends. Martha and Mary’s tears of sorrow are changed instantly to joy when their brother Lazarus’ life is restored, and they understand the Savior’s promise of eternal life to all who believe in Jesus.

    ord, I believe is an inspiring collection of three stories where Jesus teaches His disciples through word and deed the magnificent power of faith. Witness the kind Roman centurion who kneels before the Master and pleads for his dying servant. The servant is healed instantly because he asked in faith without doubting. Jesus’ words of comfort are as powerful as His miracles. Saying “weep not,” He raises the son of a poor widow of Nain. Lastly, a man with weakened faith begs the Master to make his son whole. Jesus answers, “all things are possible to him that believeth,” Jesus teaches that if our faith is only the size of a tiny mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible.

  • S02E07 The Lord's Prayer

    Everyone who watches The Lord’s Prayer will know how to have the great power Jesus promised every believer. On many occasions Jesus taught His disciples the power of prayer through parables and His personal example. After Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into Heaven, His disciples find their faith greatly tested when Peter is arrested and cast into a Roman prison. As Herod plots Peter’s death, the believers gather together and follow the example that Jesus taught. Through faith and persistent prayer, Peter’s chains are broken and the Angel of the Lord opens the prison gates. The united prayer of the righteous saves Peter and is still a power on Earth without equal.

  • S02E08 The Messiah Comes!

    In His final days on earth, Jesus’ disciples struggle to understand His mission. They are blinded by their expectations of the Messiah, thinking He would deliver them from Roman rule. “The Messiah Comes” makes the message plain while teaching children that Jesus offers deliverance from the bondage of sin and death and gives hope of eternal life through His atonement.

  • S02E09 The Parables of Jesus

    Jesus often taught His followers using stories called parables. Three of the best loved parables, The Talents, The Rich Man and Lazarus, and the Two Sons, are presented together to reinforce important principles. They teach us how to be good stewards of our time and the things that we have been given. Important ideals of stewardship and preparedness are emphasized through the parable of the House Build Upon the Rock.

    Jesus uses the parables of the King’s Wedding Feast and the Thief in the Night to teach His disciples to have humility, to repent, and to be prepared for the day He comes again. Through parables Jesus teaches His disciples to patiently watch for the significant signs that will precede His Second Coming. You’ll see how the disciples misunderstand the meaning of His parables. Even with these insights, will we also misunderstand the signs of His coming today?
