Frank Pellegrino

Frank Joseph Pellegrino was the owner of the ultra-exclusive eatery Rao’s, located in East Harlem. Via his connection to director Martin Scorsese, a Rao’s regular, he broke into acting with the role of Johnny Dio, the cigar-smoking prison chef, in the 1990 gangster film Goodfellas. His most notable role came in the form of FBI New Jersey bureau chief Frank Cubitoso on the acclaimed drama series The Sopranos.
