The New Batman Adventures

The series takes place two years after the last episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Batman has continued to fight crime in Gotham City, but there have been some changes. Dick Grayson has become Nightwing; Tim Drake has taken over the role of Robin; and Batgirl has become apart of Batman's team. But the Dark Knight's greatest villains continue to plague Gotham City, so not everything has changed.

Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero

Since his Deep Freeze (Batman: The Animated Series) against Batman, Mr. Freeze has found a home in the Arctic and started a surrogate family with his still cryogenics-encased wife Nora Fries, his adopted Inuit son Koonak, and two pet polar bears, Hotchka and Shaka. Nora's condition begins to rapidly deteriorate due to a submarine accidentally emerging from underwater directly underneath them, shattering her containment vessel. After punishing the submarine crew by freezing them with his trusted freeze gun, Freeze returns to Gotham City with his companions and enlists the help of his old colleague Dr. Gregory Belson to find a cure. Belson determines that Nora needs an organ transplant, but due to her rare blood type there are no suitable donors available. Freeze declares that they will use a live donor, even if it means killing an innocent woman, and bribes Belson into compliance with a promise of gold that will put an end to Belson's own financial problems.

Batman Beyond

It's been years since Batman was last seen and Bruce Wayne secludes himself away from the resurgence of crime in Gotham. After discovering Bruce's secret identity, troubled teenager Terry McGinnis dons the mantle of Batman. With Bruce supervising him, Terry battles criminals in a futuristic Gotham and brings hope to its citizens.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

Static Shock

But helping people and making a positive impact in his community gives a real charge to this newfound superhero in the animated adventures of Static Shock.

The Zeta Project

In this spin-off from Batman Beyond, Zeta is an experimental infiltration robot equipped with weaponry and a holographic self-projector that allows it to assume any identity. Unfortunately, his programming also evolves to the point where he acquires both sentience and a conscience. He flees the U.S. government, who believe he has been re-programmed by a foreign power. On the run, Zeta encounters Rosalie "Ro" Rowan, a street orphan who is wanted by the law herself. Initially fascinated by Zeta's criminal skills and the unlimited-cash untraceable credit card he has, she attaches herself to him. The two quickly form a real friendship, and set out across America to find both Roe's parents, and Zeta's creator who can prove that Zeta is acting of his own free will.
