Left hanging in the previous episode, Rinku drops Kuwabara to the ground, preparing to deal the finishing blow. In a last-ditch effort, Kuwabara saves himself by firing his Spirit Sword from his hand, and prepares his counter-attack. Rinku, in retaliation, fires his Yo-Yos again, but Kuwabara shows that he learned how to manoeuvre his Spirit Sword. Both warriors are knocked out of the ring, since both attacks strike home. The announcer says that the fighters can only stay out of the ring for ten seconds, and begins the count. Rinku comes up after five, and Yusuke, still presumably sleeping, shouts for Kuwabara to wake up. Kuwabara gets mad, and gets up and confronts Yusuke. Just then, Rinku stops from healing himself and causes his Yo-Yos to squeeze Kuwabara, preventing him from jumping back in the ring. The announcer finishes the count, and Rinku is awarded the first win.
After a moment, the second match begins: Roto vs. Kurama. Kurama goes on the offensive, but as he is about to deal a finishing blow, Roto quickly reveals his dirty trick: a device that, when activated, will tell his demon brother to kill Kurama's mother. As Kurama isn't willing to put his mother's life on the line, he is forced to stop his attacks, and allows Roto to beat him up. When Roto grows bored of the torment, and raises his foot and tells Kurama to lick the slime off, though, Kurama declines, and Roto threatens to press the button. Surprisingly, Kurama tells him to go ahead and press it. Roto raises his arm, when suddenly he finds himself unable to move. Kurama reveals that he threw a "Death Seed" in Roto, that will bloom from his body in a few instants. Roto pleads him mercy, to which Kurama simply replies "no". The Death Seed sprouts, and Kurama is given the win.

A segunda luta é de Kurama, que luta contra Loto. O demônio fere Kurama na face e ameaça matar sua mãe. No entanto, Kurama havia lançado uma semente no corpo do oponente e, quando ela se transforma em flor, Loto morre.
Dejado colgando en el episodio anterior, Rinku deja caer a Kuwabara al suelo, preparándose para dar el golpe final. En un último esfuerzo, Kuwabara se salva disparando su Espada Espiritual de su mano y prepara su contraataque. Rinku, en represalia, vuelve a disparar sus YoYos, pero Kuwabara muestra que aprendió a maniobrar su Espada Espiritual.
史上最强的格斗技大赛，暗黑武术会第一回合赛，在先锋战中与铃驹对战的桑原激战之后遗憾落败。在第二战中，与藏马对战的妖怪吕屠威胁要杀死藏马的妈妈，逼藏马认输。藏马趁对方不备，将魔界的植物种子植入对方身体，再用灵气操纵植物发芽，击倒了使用卑鄙手段的吕屠。
