Thomas darf das neue Segelboot des Bürgermeisters zur Schiffstaufe fahren. Eigentlich soll Thomas noch auf einen Ingenieur warten, der den Mast des Bootes abbauen will. Doch Thomas mag nicht warten und rast einfach davon. Plötzlich bleibt der hohe Mast des Bootes an einer Baumkrone hängen und die Vertäuung der Segel löst sich. Jetzt düst Thomas mit vollen Segeln gen Hafen. Und weil es heute sehr windig ist, kann die kleine Lokomotive ihr Fahrt nicht stoppen.
Thomas is asked to collect the Mayor's new sailboat and bring it to the Harbor. But Thomas doubts the strong winds which give him a wild and disastorous ride around the island!
