Auf Sodor soll diese Nacht eine Sternschnuppe zu sehen sein. Und wer sie sieht, der darf sich etwas wünscht. Alle Loks sind schon mächtig aufgeregt. Am Abend starren sie alle fasziniert in den Himmel und warten auf die Sternschnuppe. Doch da kommt der dicke Kontrolleur. Und er hat einen wichtigen Auftrag für Thomas. Im Elektrizitätswerk hat es Probleme gegeben und jetzt soll Thomas die Ingenieure auf dem schnellsten Weg dorthin fahren, damit sie den Schaden beheben können. Da Thomas aber die Sternschnuppe nicht verpassen will, nimmt er einen Umweg nach dem anderen. Und da es so dunkel ist, verirrt er sich auch noch...
Thomas is taking some engineers to the Power Station, but at the same time really wants to see a special shooting star, which will be showing itself up in the sky anytime now. Not wanting to miss it, Thomas makes sure to only travel down lines which will not block his vision of the sky. But this means not taking the quickest route possible to the Power Station, which is in no way a good thing.
