Auf Sodor kommt eine neue Lok zum Einsatz: Big Mac. Die neue Lok hat zwei Maschine - Big und Mac. Und die sind selten einer Meinung. Als sie vom Kontrolleur den Auftrag bekommen, Feriengäste zum Campingplatz in den Bergen zu bringen, zanken sie sich ständig über den Weg. Vor lauter Streiterei landen Big und Mac schließlich auf einem toten Gleis, und dann kracht noch der Waggon mit den Feriengästen gegen eine Felswand und springt aus den Schienen. Die Feriengäste versuchen mit vereinten Kräften den Wagen wieder auf die Gleise zu wuchten. Da begreifen Big und Mac endlich, wie wichtig es ist an einem Strang zu ziehen.
Everything is happening on the Narrow Gauge Railway. There is the new Controller, Mr. Percival, and there is the new locomotive, Mighty Mac. But this is no ordinary locomotive; in fact it has not one smokebox but two! At one end there is Mighty and at the other, Mac. On their first job they already start fighting, and in this case, over which way they should go to reach the proposed destination. Will they be able to reach a resolution, to work as one?
