The Great Steamer

Et stort dampskib sejler forbi på floden. Rotte og Muldvarp ser en mus, som klamrer sig til en flaske i vandet og som er på vej mod et vandfald. De to må tænke hurtigt, hvis de skal redde den bange, lille mus, som er ved at drukne.

Im Frühling verwandelt sich der Fluss in einen reißenden Strom. Als ein Dampfer mit großer Geschwindigkeit vorüberfährt, wird das Haus von Ratty gefährlich erschüttert. Die Wellen spülen die Feldmaus Willy über Bord, die in einem Boot nach ihrem verlorenen Schal sucht. Gemeinsam mit den anderen Feldmäusen suchen Mauly und Ratty den Fluss nach Willy ab.

The weasels buy the part of the Wild Wood upon which stands the entrance to Badger's home. They order Badger to vacate the property. When Badger takes the weasels to court, the judge decides in their favour, as the weasels' deed to the property appears to be valid. It is mole who saves the day when he discovers a Roman document signed by Julius Caesar which conveys the ownership of the area that is now the Wild Wood to the badgers and their descendants. With this document in hand, Badger is able to chase the weasels away only minutes before they take permanent possession of his burrow.
