Die aufstrebende Illustratorin Lisa (Antonia Thomas) hat alles versucht: Hypnose, Entspannungsübungen und Tabletten. Nichts will gegen ihre chronische Schlaflosigkeit helfen. Jede Nacht wird sie heimgesucht von Zukunftsängsten, denn beruflich sieht es nicht gerade rosig aus. Wie nur soll Lisa ihre kleine Tochter versorgen, wenn sie nicht mal ihr eigenes Leben auf die Reihe kriegt? Uns so ist sie Nacht für Nacht wach, ohne Hoffnung auf Besserung. Als sie den Journalisten Danny (Craig Roberts) kennenlernt, ahnt sie noch nicht, dass auch er mit chronischer Schlaflosigkeit zu kämpfen hat. Obwohl Danny unter einer Sozialphobie leidet und so manche schrullige Eigenschaft hat, wachsen die beiden immer mehr zusammen. Gemeinsam stehen sie sich in zahlreichen schlaflosen Nächten zur Seite und sind füreinander da, wenn sie einsam sind. Ist das noch Freundschaft oder schon Liebe?

Every night she is haunted by fears about the future because things aren't looking particularly rosy professionally. How is Lisa supposed to look after her little daughter when she can't even manage her own life? She stays awake night after night with no hope of improvement. When she meets journalist Danny (Craig Roberts), she has no idea that he also struggles with chronic insomnia. Although Danny suffers from social anxiety and has some quirky characteristics, the two of them grow closer and closer together. Together they support each other through numerous sleepless nights and are there for each other when they are lonely. Is this still friendship or is it already love?
