The door to level 3 opens up, only for Hannyabal to come out. Inazuma and Luffy look at him surprised, only for Hannyabal to tell the break-in pirate he won't allow scum like him to travel on the seas. Hannyabal and Luffy get in a serious fight, which seems uneven as Luffy is way stronger then Hannyabal. Hannyabal receives a Jet Gatling to the face. He lies on the ground, reminiscing about his first day as a gaoler. He remember the sexy pirate Olive, who charms Hannyabal and knocks him out, only so Magellan can lock her up. The scene changes to the real life now, and Hannyabal stands up, grabbing Luffy. Luffy pushes him away. He pledges the escapees, only to get stomped down by the arriving Marshall D. Teach. Hannyabal lies unconscious, and Jinbei says Teach's nickname: Blackbeard. Luffy remembers Ace saying something about Blackbeard, and wanting to capture him. Teach then states that if it wouldn't be for Ace, Luffy had already died. Luffy gets infuriated, telling Blackbeard to kill him now. Entering Gear 2, Luffy punches down Blackbeard.
La porte du niveau 3 s'ouvre, seulement pour qu'Hannyabal sorte. Inazuma et Luffy le regardent surpris, seulement pour qu'Hannyabal dise au pirate cambrioleur qu'il ne permettra pas à des ordures comme lui de voyager sur les mers.
Hannyabal si batte con Rufy, ma viene subito atterrato dal Gear Second. Intanto, mentre Barbanera usa i suoi poteri per rimuovere la barriera di veleno al Livello 2, liberando Bagy ed i suoi uomini, Magellan arriva al Livello 4. Hannyabal, nonostante le ferite riportate, si rialza determinato a sconfiggere Rufy, tuttavia, Barbanera, giunto sul posto, lo abbatte con un attacco a sorpresa. Quest'ultimo spiega a Cappello di Paglia di aver avuto intenzione di catturarlo per entrare a far parte della Flotta dei 7, ma che la cattura di Ace gli ha già garantito tale posizione. Rufy, adirato da queste parole, colpisce Barbanera con il Jet Pistol.
Hannybal pelea contra Luffy, pero es superado contra el Gear Second de Luffy. Mientras tanto, Barbanegra usa sus poderes para hacer desaparecer la pared de veneno de Magellan, liberando a Buggy y sus hombres, mientras que Magellan llega al nivel 4. Hannybal, a pesar de estar muy golpeado, está decidido en no dejar a Luffy para proteger el futuro del mundo, pero Barbanegra lanza un ataque sorpresa que lo golpea a él y sus guardias.
