Bei einem Tauchgang in der Kahuku Lagune glaubt Magnum den Geist eines Jungen zu sehen, der in dieser Gegend ertrunken sein soll. Und obwohl sich seine Freunde über ihn lustig machen, beginnt Magnum der Sache nachzugehen. Seine Ermittlungen führen ihn zu den Eltern des Toten. Betroffen stellt er fest, dass dessen Mutter immer noch hofft, ihren Sohn Keli'i wiederzufinden. Doch nach und nach kommt die schreckliche Wahrheit ans Licht. Anscheinend ließ Keli'is Vater sein eigenes Boot explodieren, um die Versicherungssumme zu kassieren – ohne zu ahnen, dass sein Sohn noch an Bord war.
As he and T.C. deep sea scuba-dive, Thomas sees a young boy who appears out of nowhere with no breathing apparatus and signals him to follow. Low on air, Thomas is unable to follow him, and later faces the skepticism of T.C., Higgins and Rick about his vision. An adamant Thomas, determined to prove that he's right, learns that his vision matches the description of a young boy, Keli'i Parker, killed five years earlier in an explosion at sea. The boy's mother has always blamed herself for his death, and as Thomas learns more about Keli'i, he begins to believe that his vision of the boy was destiny reaching out to lead him to the cause of the fatal accident.
Illusion d'optique ou réalité ? Au cours d'une plongée sous-marine, Magnum a cru apercevoir un jeune garçon se débattant au milieu des vagues, sans masque ni bouteille. Le garçon a disparu et Magnum n'a rien pu faire. Très secoué par l'incident, voulant en avoir le cœur net, Magnum mène son enquête et apprend qu'un jeune garçon et son grand-père sont morts en mer, victimes de l'explosion de leur bateau...
Mentre si trova in mare con T.C. per delle immersioni, Thomas ha la visione di un ragazzo apparso in acqua che gli fa cenno di seguirlo, ma il livello d'ossigeno è basso e Thomas è costretto a risalire in superficie. Magnum, del tutto indifferente allo scetticismo dei suoi amici, decide di indagare su questa sua visione e scopre che il ragazzo che ha visto ha le sembianze di Keli'i Parker, un giovane morto in seguito a un'esplosione al largo
