Nachdem T.C. mit seinem Helikopter gerade ein frisch verheiratetes Paar in die Flitterwochen nach Lahaina geflogen hat, wird er von einem gewissen Harry Bates angeheuert: Er soll einen Metallkoffer mit zurücknehmen, indem sich angeblich Geschäftspapiere befinden. Doch auf T.C.s Rückflug ereignet sich ein mysteriöser Unfall und der Hubschrauber stürzt ins Meer. Schwerverletzt wird T.C. gerettet. Als Magnum ihn im Krankenhaus besucht, trifft er auf T.C.s Bruder Jerrold, der sich große Sorgen macht. Kurz darauf findet der Privatdetektiv aber heraus, dass auf den Helikopter geschossen wurde, dass das angebliche Flitterwochenpärchen gar nicht verheiratet ist und dass T.C. keinen Bruder namens Jerrold hat!
As he's about to take off after delivering a pair of newlyweds to Maui, T.C. is offered a lot of money to deliver a briefcase to Oahu. On his approach to the Island Hoppers headquarters, he loses control of his helicopter and crashes into the ocean. After being rescued by fishermen, T.C. is rushed to the hospital, where he remains in a coma with his brother Gerald at his side. When the Coast Guard is in no rush to investigate what they consider to be a simple accident, Thomas and Gerald investigate the chopper's wreckage and discover that it was shot down. Thomas, Higgins, Rick and Gerald put their own lives in jeopardy as they set out to find who's responsible for T.C.'s near-fatal crash.
T.C. se retrouve dans le coma après avoir perdu le contrôle de son hélicoptère. En fait d'accident, Magnum découvre qu'il s'agit d'un coup monté lié à la tenue d'une convention scientifique sur l'île et à une mystérieuse boîte en métal que T.C. transportait...
T.C. ha appena accompagnato una coppia di sposini a Maui e sta per ritornare a casa, quando riceve un'offerta di lavoro molto vantaggiosa per consegnare una valigetta a Oahu. Durante il volo, perde il controllo dell'elicottero e si schianta nell'oceano. Salvato da alcuni pescatori, T.C. è portato in ospedale dove giace in coma vegliato da suo fratello Gerald. La Guardia Costiera non approfondisce le indagini e Thomas decide di indagare per conto suo. Dopo aver scoperto che l'elicottero è stato abbattuto, Magnum cerca di scoprire il responsabile insieme a Rick, Higgins e Gerald
Cuando está a punto de partir después de llevar a un par de recién casados a Maui, a TC le ofrecen mucho dinero para entregar un maletín a Oahu. Al acercarse a la sede de Island Hoppers, pierde el control de su helicóptero y se estrella en el océano. Después de ser rescatado por unos pescadores, TC es trasladado de urgencia al hospital, donde permanece en coma con su hermano Gerald a su lado. Cuando la Guardia Costera no tiene prisa por investigar lo que consideran un simple accidente, Thomas y Gerald investigan los restos del helicóptero y descubren que fue derribado. Thomas, Higgins, Rick y Gerald ponen sus propias vidas en peligro mientras se proponen encontrar quién es el responsable del accidente casi fatal de TC.
