Having been sent on another task by Sophia, Ren and Ryo decide to split up, with the latter sensing something up with Sophia. Ren soon enough runs into Desast, who wishes for a rematch. Ren initially refuses, not wanting to battle someone he already defeated. But with some goading, he eventually transforms into Kenzan to fight Desast. As the fight goes on, Ren thinks back on how he first learned of Touma from Kento, dismissing him as not being strong due to his habit of mixing Ridebooks of different elements. He reaffirms his stance that true justice is strength, before defeating Desast once more, though not without being rattled by the experience. Desast, who survived the attack, muses that Ren will soon be “one of us”.
Elsewhere, Ryo meets up with Sophia, who is in the middle of a meeting with Calibur.
