Julie Fowlis | Ceòl Aig Baile is a music series that takes place at an extraordinary time in our history. The series gives musicians, deprived of playing live concerts, a virtual stage and an opportunity to perform directly from their homes to viewing fans. Julie Fowlis | Ceòl Aig Baile builds on that, inviting musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Europe, Canada and the US to connect with fans and to perform in a visceral way, appealing to feelings as much as intellect. Filmed during lockdown in April and May, this episode is curated by Mischa MacPherson and Donald Grant and features multiple Grammy-winning music star Rosanne Cash, Dreamer’s Circus from Denmark, May Erlewine from Michigan and virtuoso jazz pianist Kit Downes.
