In the first episode, the team of vets are giving an elephant an endoscopy to check on the progress of her cancer treatment, and Paul O'Donoghue helps an elephant arriving with chronic diarrhoea.
In this week's episode, an elephant is brought into A&E with the suspected deadly herpes virus, and Paul helps the vets to try and save his life by attempting a blood transfusion. Kat helps one of the oldest female elephants as she is treated for an infected foot. And we visit the largest herd in the hospital swimming in the river.
The vets check the heart health, dental health and gut health of their majestic patients, and a young bull elephant is rescued after breaking his leg in a violent thunderstorm. Later, laser technology is used to help save an elephant who has been brought into A&E with severe burns.
