Souma invites Motoharu to go to the summer festival with Hayate, Shun, and Takayuki. After meeting Takayuki again, Motoharu also got to meet all the others. Having a natural talent for communicating, he's become friendly with all of them, except for Hayate. Hayate is always nervous, leaving Motoharu a little sad that they are not making progress. Therefore, Motoharu takes this opportunity to put a new idea to the test...
Die Fünf gehen gemeinsam aufs Sommerfest und es wäre alles wunderbar, wenn Hayate in Motoharus Gegenwart nicht derart angespannt wäre. Motoharu weiß, dass Hayate sein Fan ist, aber warum sollte keine Freundschaft zwischen Autor und Fan möglich sein?
سوما يدعو موتوهارو للذهاب إلى المهرجان الصّيفي مع هاياتي وشون وتاكايوكي. بعد اللّقاء بتاكايوكي ثانية، يتمكّن موتوهارو أيضاً من اللّقاء مع الآخرين جميعهم. نتيجة امتلاكه موهبة طبيعيّة في التّواصل، يصبح ودوداً معهم جميعاً باستثناء هاياتي. هاياتي متوتّر دومً تاركاً موتوهارو حزيناً بعض الشّيء لأنّهم لا يحقّقون أيّ تقدّم. لذلك، ينتهز موتوهارو هذه الفرصة لتنفيذ فكرة جديدة.
