People either LOVE or HATE the fried fish sandwich! Originally started as an option for those observing Lent, the Fish Sandwich is now a staple amongst most fast food brands. For me, I always looked forward to having a Fish Sandwich at any Fast Food restaurant despite the weird looks from friends. Naturally I was excited to see Arby's offering a fish sandwich for a limited time. I made a big illegal U turn on a busy NYC street just to get into the drive thru. That's right, I risked my life to bring you this review!
Applebee's is the first family chain restaurant I can recall from my youth. It was THE spot to go dine out with your friends & family when you wanted something a little nicer than fast food. Big portions, a variety of options, spacious & kid friendly, Applebee's was the perfect spot to dine at after a long day of shopping. Conveniently, that's exactly where you found most Applebee's restaurants. With the decline of the American Mall & rise of online shopping, how has this brand fared in this new exciting worlld? Also, who's idea was it to call it ORIENTAL???
Burger is a staple in American fast food culture. With locations around the world, Burger King will be forever cemented into Burger culture for better or worse. Growing up I always preferred Burger King over its competitors because quite simply... they were BIGGER than the rest. That was a long time ago when quantity matter more than quality, but after a 16 year long career in the professional culinary arts, what do I think of it today? Watch the entire episode to find out my grading 1 out of 10!
Eddie Van Halen was an inspiration to multiple generations. His contributions to music, guitar playing and even guitar design itself were innovative and extrordinary.
Shake Shack emerged from the highly regarded Union Square Hospitality Group responsible for world renowned restaurant such as... Union Square Cafe, Eleven Madison Park & Gramercy Tavern. Lead by Danny Meyer and his team of hospitality ninja's, Shake Shake emotes the same high quality you'd expect but in a fast food format. Going up against giant brands like McDonalds, Burger King & Wendy's, Shake Shake is now available world wide with no signs of slowing down. What do I think? Watch the full episode to see my grading 1 out of 10!
Before brands like Chick Fil A & Shake Shack, Wendy's was known for slightly (and I mean slightly) better quality than Fast Food giants like McDonalds or KFC. Every successful brand, food or not, will go through stages of growth & decline. Wendy's in an effort to capture more market share and hopefully boost sales rolled out Breakfast in 2019.Spending MILLIONS of dollars for the roll out, can their product compete with an already competitive breakfast market? People tend to stick with their routines and habits for Breakfast but I broke mine to try Wendy's latest offerings... how does it hold up? Watch the entire episode to find out my grading!
Taco Bell is beloved but also viewed as a violent shit generator. Growing up, Taco Bell was one of my all time favorite fast food chains and first exposure to "Mexican Cuisine". Tacos, Burritos & Nachos were all new things to my Asian pallet and I loved it all. One unique concoction of Taco Bell is the Mexican Pizza. A messy, cheesy hot mess that was nearly taken off the Taco Bell menu until a petition saved it! Question is... why is Taco Bell infamously known cause stinky diarrhea? With my 16 years of professional experience as a Chef in New York City I have a hypothesis! Watch the full video to see what I think and grade the Mexican Pizza 1 out of 10!
Filipino's are some of the warmest and welcoming people you will ever meet. Growing up in a multi ethnic home, I always felt out of place. My own ethnic groups never fully accepted me for who I was labelling me differently from the rest but the one group who took me in with open arms were Filipino's. My grandfather was born & raised in the Philippines, which is why all my Aunts & Uncles have a strong command on english as well as Hispanic names. Our family has long lost touch with our distant relatives in the Philippines but no matter, I was still "Filipino enough" for my Filipino friends. Jollibee is most famously known in the Philippines and is beloved by its people. Despite going up against mega fast food chains like McDonalds, Jollibee has managed to keep its footing by catering their food to the tastes of the local people. Expanding throughout all of Asia and now internationally, Jollibee can now be enjoyed by people everywhere. With menu items like Jolly Spaghetti, Chicken
The regional burger chain that is credited with establishing the first fast food model, White Castle was given world wide attention with the movie Harold & Kumar go to White Castle! Known for their sliders, a small but flavor packed mini burger cooked over caramelized onions and served with pickled and cheese, White Castle is also famously known for the bright white aesthetic to represent cleanliness. Greasy yet aromatic, small yet inexpensive not everyone gets to try these sliders because to this day they remain a fairly small regional US chain only recently breaking into the international market. I went to middle school right by a White Castle and frequented it often. I absolutely loved the fatty soft little cheese burgers and the movie Harold and Kumar only made me love it more. I find it's often a love or hate relationship with other people, but their's no denying White Castle offers something different & unique while having staying power! Be sure to watch to full video to see
We need to talk about Five Guys Bacon Cheese Burger! Five Guys story is quite amazing. Focused on high quality ingredients but no frills dining room & packaging, Five Guys meteoric rise in the extremely competitive Burger Market is remarkable. Big Robust Food + Quality leaves your feeling like you get your money's worth despite the higher price point. While Five Guys checks off the boxes to make it one of the best burgers in the country, there are definitely short comings from the bread, sloppiness & what seems to be an assassination attempt on those with a peanut allgery! Watch the entire video for the full review while I Mukbang this behemoth of a Burger!
I was 15 years old and 360 pounds. Subway started pushing the "Jared Commericials" (yes... that Jared) claiming by eating Subway Sandwiches all meals of the day, you will loose weight! Subway famously utilizes a wide variety of fresh vegetables in their sandwiches for a brighter & lighter edge over its competitors. I hopped right onto the "Subway Diet" and in turn, took in more nutrient and fiber dense foods that I otherwise wouldn't have with my past dining choices. I found success and always had a special place in my heart for Subway. 16 years of experience working as a Professional Chef in New York City, I was immensely disappointed with my most recent trip to Subway. A shell of their former glory, is there anything redeemable about this once vastly popular fast food chain? Make sure to watch the full episode to see what I grade this sad excuse of a sandwich.
Popeye's is known for their Louisiana Style Fried Chicken and often regarded as a step up from KFC. Growing steadily with a world wide presence the emergence of Chick-Fil-A and their Fried Chicken Sandwiches has come in to challenge the Chicken Giants! With a huge marketing campaign to compete in the Chicken Sandwich Wars, how does Popeyes Fried Chicken Sandwich hold up?
Dunkin', also known as Dunkin' Donuts, is an American multinational coffee and doughnut company. Acquired by Baskin-Robbins' in the 90's and now with with approximately 12,900 locations in 42 countries, Dunkin' is one of the largest coffee shop and donut shop chains in the world. Its products include donuts, bagels, coffee, and excuses for sandwiches like the Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich.
Chick-fil-A is one of the largest American fast food restaurant chains and the largest whose specialty is chicken sandwiches. Founded in 1946, Chick-fil-A operates more than 2,605 restaurants, primarily in the United States with locations in 48 states. Many of the company's values are influenced by the religious beliefs of late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sundays, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas, an almost nonexistent practice in the restaurant business. The company's varying stance often in opposition to same-sex marriage has been the subject of public controversy. But how do the sandwiches fare? Watch the entire episode to find out!
Originally separate companies serving different geographic areas Checkers and Rally's merged August of 1999. Generally-speaking, the Checkers name remains in use around the Southeast as well as the Northeast while the Rally's name is used in the Midwest and California; the two brands have overlap in several areas. Most locations specialize in carryout service with a drive-thru and walk-up windows available with no indoor seating, though some legacy Rally's locations in the Midwest that opened before Checkers purchased the chain retain dining rooms.
KFC (short for Kentucky Fried Chicken) is an American fast food restaurant chain headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, that specializes in fried chicken. It is the world's second-largest restaurant chain (measured by sales) after McDonald's, with 22,621 locations globally! The chain is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, a restaurant company that also owns the Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and WingStreet chains.
The McRib is a barbecue flavored pork sandwich periodically sold by the international fast food restaurant chain McDonald's. It was first introduced to the McDonald's menu in 1981, following test marketing the year before. After poor sales, it was removed from the menu in 1985. The McRib was reintroduced in 1989, staying on the menu until 2005 in many countries. From 2006 until 2019, it has generally been made available for a short time each year in most markets where it is sold, typically during the fall season, although is a permanent menu item at McDonald's restaurants in Germany and Luxembourg. The sandwich, as well as the cultural phenomenon of "chasing the McRib", were the main subject of The Simpsons episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can", in which it is parodied as the "Ribwich" and gains a cult following.

Kid Cuisine is a brand of packaged frozen dinners targeted for children's appetites, marketed by Conagra Foods, created in 1990.
First served in South Korea Shake Shack restaurants, the sandwich was such a hit, it was brought stateside for you to try: Korean-Style Fried Chick’n has finally landed in the U.S.
I've tried the Beast Style Burger but now we see how another offering of the MrBeast Burger menu fares! This product is unique in that it appears to be a clear example of "Cross-Utilization", hear me explain it more in depth on this episode!
A long lost episode I made earlier in the year but due to a bunch of new products coming out, it kept getting pushed off!
I LOVE fried fish sandwiches so naturally I was excited to see Popeyes come out with their own version. One thing that threw me off was the sheer size of the fillet!! Have you ever seen a flounder big enough to make a fillet that big???
EVERYONE wants in on the Fried Chicken Sandwich market and titans McDonald's is NO EXCEPTION! These sandwiches are clearly in the right direction as McDonald's has not successfully established itself as a marker of quality in the changing and evolving fast food world!
There's one thing you can't deny about Taco Bell, they come up with some CRAZY STUFF! The Quesalupa is a TON of cheese stuff between a Chalupa & Tortilla shells filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, tomato, sour cream & MORE CHEESE!!!
Before Shake Shack & Five Guys, Wendy's was the marker of "high quality" fast food. I still think they rank highest in quality amongst the Big 5, which includes McDonald's, Burger King, KFC & Taco Bell.
Filipino's are some of the warmest and welcoming people you will ever meet. Growing up in a multi ethnic home, I always felt out of place. My own ethnic groups never fully accepted me for who I was labelling me differently from the rest but the one group who took me in with open arms were Filipino's.
For the FIRST episode of TSAOWICH SUNDAY I'm happy to feature my friend Ryan "Fluff" Bruce of the guitar nerdy YouTube channel "Riffs, Beards & Gear!
Steve Byrne is not just a comedian but also actor, writer & director!
When I was a struggling cook in the early days of my career, the first band I treated myself to see after a long dry spell was Trivium with In Flames. I was a long time fan and seeing them live was truly inspiring.
I can't tell you how many times I stayed up way too late watching Justin on YouTube! Even if the video covered a topic I had no clue about, it would be so fucked up, strange or random to the point I'd be entertained.
If you're watching this video and reading the description, then you already know who Jared Dines is! I had so much fun playing Jareds famous 18 string @ORMSBYGUITARSAUS but man... is this things a pain in the ass to tune! LOL
This is an example of exactly why I LOVE doing this show... getting inspired by the most unlikely of people and places. Over and over I'm surprised by the answers to my questionnaire and it takes me to a direction I would have never gone on my own.
I've known Brendon for years now and he's a man of MANY talents. We've dined at many places together, one fond memory I have is eating at a Michelin rated restaurant and being shown a prototype Gibson Explorer guitar over the dining table!
Phil is our FIRST plant based guest, thus our first vegan sandwich!
Dave Davidson of @OfficialRevocation is an old friend who I've been on MANY food adventures with. He's also someone I go to often when I want an opinion on a new dish/sandwich I'm working on.
Killswitch Engage is one of my all time favorite bands and Jesse has become a dear friend over the years. Jesse does things with a lot of passion and I wanted to make sure I did the same for his sandwich! Despite the many dietary allergies and restrictions, I made sure to look upon them as opportunity instead of obstacles and I'm VERY happy with the results!
I first discovered Fit For A King through my admin Darkvirus in the Chef Brian Tsao Discord server (link below) and liked it right away. I randomly decided to reach out to Ryan since he mentioned living in Brooklyn area on a podcast (yes, totally creep vibes on my part), but to my amazement he was game!
I've followed Rob Chapman for YEARS, in fact, I watch more nerdy guitar related content than anything else on YouTube. I first met Rob a few years ago through @RabeaMassaad when they were last in NYC and have remained friends since.
Tim's sandwich took me back to my time as Chef De Cuisine of Beauty & Essex NYC. One of the highlights of my career I had an incredible team of Sous Chef's and Cooks. The Peruvian Chicken dish that Tim loves so much is the perfect example of how team work makes the dream work. Shout out to Chef Ventura Lozano.
Mark Holcomb is not only an incredible guitar player, but also a friend. He is the first "metal dude" I befriended after opening my first successful restaurant in Manhattan NY and was the one who introduced me to the rest of the Periphery clan!
Ben Weinman is truly one of my guitar hero's. I clearly remember the first time I heard a Dillinger song and being completely disgusted and turned off.
The beaches of Revere are beautiful and I'm so glad we got to the venue, Sammy's Patio, so early.
Elliot's band Good Tiger is one of my favorite "newer" bands. I forgot how we first met, but Elliot is someone I always pickup right where we left off. We can go months without speaking and suddenly, it's like we were never apart.
I have a special place in my heart for Periphery. Their music inspired me to take guitar more seriously after a long period away, and in some way, my current band @LossBecomes wouldn't exist without them.
Doc's guitar playing has a huge influence on me. I remember living in Beijing China and hearing God Forbid's music for the first time and being completely blown away by the riffs & tone. I'm also a big fan of the EX-Man Podcast and really enjoy the guests he has along with his insights into the metal music scene.
Tabitha is a legend and I got to know her through the Howard Stern show, which I listened to RELIGIOUSLY. While Tabitha and I have never got to hang out in person we met through the greatest scene on the planet, THE METAL SCENE!
Incendiary are one of my Top 5 bands, so to have Brian & Rob come onto the show was an absolute honor.
Mike Kennedy is not only a founding member of legendary band Vision of Disorder but also a RESTAURANTEUR! Not just any restaurants either, DAMN GOOD ONES TOO!
I looked up to John for many years before we became friends. I was first introduced to the music of Candiria by my middle school friends who gifted me their album the day before I took a 12 hour flight to Beijing China.
Arthur has been a long time follower of my content and I got to meet him in person at the 2nd ever @LossBecomes show back in August. Great dude who is also a fan of @SullyGuitars and I'm so glad he was picked to be the grand prize winner!
Joey needs no introduction, he has worked on numerous iconic albums over the years and owns one of the most iconic audio recording plugins which I use regularly!
Acey Slade is not just the founder, owner & operator of Car Fight Coffee (my personal go to btw) but has played with COUNTLESS legends through the years.
Dan Sugarman is the lead axe man for Ice Nine Kills but also but also an amazing solo musician!
Captain Simon Mo invites me into the Dix Hills fire department's kitchen to help me create an amazing sandwich inspired by the captain himself.
Learning guitar, starting a band, and getting drunk with friends has led Nick Lee of Moon Tooth to get his very own sandwich. Since Nick is a vegetarian, I take a great leap and decided to smoke some cauliflower, toss it in buffalo sauce, bumped up with some Hot Ones Last Dab hot sauce, and throw it between two pieces of bread. Am I crazy enough to make this work?
This week I create an Italian sub inspired by fellow Sully Guitar endorsee Zaria Joyner. Things get a little crazy with TWO types of provolone and a lot of bad jokes. I top it off with her secret ingredient that she puts on every sandwich.
I have put some weird combinations together before but this may be the most far out. Josh Scott loves fried spam and chicken alfredo so I out them together between some bread. Add a little spice, peppers, and tomatoes to get an awesomely weirdly delicious sandwich.
Another year of crazy ups and downs but most importantly, one filled with lots of sandwiches. Here are some of my favorites.
I react to and break down my pros and cons of the monstrous surf and turf sandwich created by Max The Meat Guy.
A true metal legend gone way too soon. We had such a blast filming this episode. Great memories and great sandwiches were made. Trevor it was an honor and a privilege to create a sandwich for you. Here's a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shot in your honor.
...While I do my best to hold my lunch. Asianmuminlaw extracts what looks like pure "protein". I break down her video and give you a chef's insight into what is happening and how it's being done.
How much is your time worth? I react to and breakdown Joshua Weissman's video of what it would take to make a $12 sandwich bought at a deli and make it at home for under $2. If you got the time, you can save the money!
Two Asian guys give Jamie Oliver the third degree for what he calls "Egg Fried Rice". I add my technical knowledge of cooking to Uncle Roger's comedic break down of everything done wrong in this video.
I wake up early to critique Jimmy O Yang's skills at making a traditional Asian breakfast. Does he have the chop...sticks?
I break down the steps Babish uses to recreate the Krabby Supreme. Don't forget the mayo!
Everything goes WRONG! My jaw is on the floor and Uncle Roger can't put his leg up.
Rachael Ray makes "Pho" as Uncle Roger and I can't pho-king believe what a disaster it is
Back at it again. I add my years of culinary expertise and explain some of the finer details of Gordon Ramsay making fried rice.
Amy, Chef Brian's producer here. As someone who has worked in kitchens with food for over 20+ years, I would just like to say how very sorry I am that this is the video he chose to react to. Just so very sorry.
I go to bat for Jamie Oliver only to be horribly let down. Ramen soup needs ramen noodles. NOT SOBA NOODLES!!!
The AUDACITY of what is done to the essential ingredient of this egg fried RICE , has made the ancestors cry.
The drool pools under my microphone as Matty Matheson makes an amazing steak sandwich.
Is it finally about to happen?? Does someone make an egg fried rice that makes all the uncles proud??
What can you do with $242 vs $13 worth of ingredients for fried rice? It all comes down to technique. Esther Choi and her friend Gabby switch ingredients and both do an amazing job with what they are given.
I answer another round of questions from your comments on here and across all my social media platforms. Another lucky winner gets chosen to win a surprise second cutting board.
While basic grilled cheese may be a guilty pleasure of mine, I can appreciate one made with artisan bread and fancy cheese. Though an important aspect of a good grilled cheese is MELTED cheese.
Will there be chili jam? Will he use olive oil? Will what he makes actually be authentic Thai green curry. Eeehhhhh probably not but we will have fun roasting him and learning what makes a proper green curry.
Kay's Cooking has heard the comments for her original fried rice video and is giving it another try. Uncle Roger is back to make sure it's up to his standards. How much has Kay learned?
Josh Weissman thinks he can make Uncle Roger's egg fried rice better. He looks the part, we know he can make a delicious sandwich for cheap, but does he have the skills to meet Uncle Roger's high standards?
The time has finally come. I get to turn the tables on Uncle Roger and dish out criticism and judgment on his cooking skills. Let's see if he can stand the heat or if he should stay out of the kitchen.
As if we haven't been tortured enough, Jamie Oliver thinks he can make authentic Thai Red Curry. We already know it's not going to be anywhere near what red curry is supposed to be but will it be worse than the green curry? Abso-fucking-lutley! Buckle in folks.
Uncle Roger is taking a break from the torture of Jamie Oliver and has accepted Vincenzo's challenge. Let's see what if he can pull off some carbonara.
Can it be? Is it true? Has someone made a quick, simplified version of an Asian dish that Uncle Roger approves of?
Let's see how a real Italian makes spaghetti carbonara and if the romans he is making it for approve.
Uncle Roger turns on the charm during his visit to Auntie Esther in her Brooklyn restaurant, Mokbar. She makes Chicken Curry with Cheese Katsu on Ramen Noodles and Uncle Roger makes many failed attempts at flirting.
Josh Weissman and Uncle Roger finally meet face to face for the ultimate Pad Thai cook off. Will Josh get his Uncle title back?
Yes it's more reacting to a reaction! This time we see if Vincenzo can get Uncle Roger's approval of his egg fried rice. Will he use day old rice? Will there be chili jam ::gasp::? Will he use the most sacred of them all, MSG?
It's finally here!!!! I show you how I make egg fried rice for my family and friends. Very simple. Very delicious. I just knowing how to use correct ingredients. Uncle Roger, I think I've earned that Uncle Brian title.
Jamie Oliver makes his version "Butter Chicken". There are two ingredients in the title. Do you think he puts both in? ????
Joshua Weissman thinks he can create a lasagna for just a dollar a serving. We'll see what Vincenzo's Plate has to say about that.
It's British morning televisions turn at making Pho. They claim it only takes 10 minutes. Yikes! Will it be worse than Rachael Ray's?
Uncle Roger judged her through both egg fried rice. Will she now make the Italian ancestors cry or surprise everyone with a hidden talent of making perfect pasta?
With so many accolades, training, and achievements, will Chef Nick's ramen live up to Uncle Roger's high standards. I'm not worried about the way it will taste but does the spanking really add flavor??
Uncle Roger judges Alex's egg fried rice. Can a French chef not only live up to Uncle Roger's standards but the standards of a Michelin star Cantonese chef.
Uncle Roger has hit 6 million follows and to celebrate, he is making his own Pho. He gets some help from Auntie Thuy. Has he learned his lesson about adding too much MSG from his egg fried rice video?
The disappointment never ends as Vincenzo reacts to Gordon's attempt to make carbonara while in lockdown.
Another Thai green curry but this one is Uncle Roger approved. Mark's mother-in-law brings joy and a huge smile to his face as she pounds away with love.
Uncle Roger celebrates 5 million subscribers by making his own Thai green chili. He has help from Chef Thames Puntar at Esarnkheaw from his favorite Thai restaurant in London. Can he do better than Jamie Oliver? That's not very hard to do!
Pailin makes her new and improved version of Thai green curry. She may be using pre-made curry paste but all her other ingredients and methods are spot on .
One mistake after another causes Josh to lose his uncle title. Was it really that bad?
I have already reacted to Mark's original video but what does Uncle Roger have to add. Is it constructive? Is it dirty? Sorry children. Will he reach through the screen and add too much MSG?
Dry aged steak is delicious! But what happens when you coat it in dry yeast? Guga Foods does an experiment to find out. Could this be a new way to make gluten free bread?
Chef Alex visits the king of Carbonara in Rome. He makes the dish first and gets some constructive criticism. The king the treats him to his version and the difference is night and day but just like night and day, each has it's merits and high points.
Uncle Roger gives Gordon Ramsay a chance to earn back his uncle title after his ramen made him revoke it. He is whipping up some Tex-Mex steak and eggs. There is no way he messes this up, right?!?!
They say it's the sauce that makes everything better. SVE tried it two ways on a steak. Which way was the best? Is it really as magical as they say? Does it bring the umami?
Master Chef winner Adam Liaw shows how he makes his Yangzhou fried rice. Uncle Roger shows his judgement is never in short supply.
2 years ago their ancestors cried. Today, we join them as Uncle Roger makes Jamie Oliver's fried rice exactly as he did. Auntie Liz graciously let's him use the kitchen at Mei Mei risking her own reputation. There will be packet rice, over cooked scallions, and of course chili jam.
Uncle Roger says you can never use too much MSG. In this experiment, Guga Foods covers the entire steak in a thick coating and lets it dry age.
Ever wonder what a Devil Fruit would taste like? Is it worth having a superpower but never being able to swim again? The Devil Fruit may not be available in our world but Babish creates his version and it is very tempting.
You should always cook brisket low and slow but is there such a thing as too slow? Is say a month too long? Guga always has a way with words to described beautifully cook meats. I wonder what words he will use to describe this brisket.
Last time I reacted to Guga cooking a brisket for 30 days that turned rancid. Let's hope dry aging it for 60 days has a much better result.
Learn how to eat like a noble man thanks to Chef Wang Gang's preparation of "Buddha Jumps over the Wall". Is it really worth the 5 days this soup takes to cook?

Who doesn't love Pad Thai? This delicious rice noodles dish is a classic in Thai cuisine but preparing it authentically may require a little more than just cooking skills. Watch the video and find out why.
I would never have thought of seeing a brisket cooked in a microwave, but most importantly, I would have never imagined such a result. This experiment, even if completely insane, proves that at the base of every recipe there is the most important ingredient of all .... creativity!
Every great chef started by learning and perfecting the fundamentals of cooking. It is always a pleasure to revisit simple recipes and this video will show you how a creative mind can step off the rails and turn a classic into something extravagant.
Will Gordon Ramsay ever get back his "Uncle" title or does he need to take another trip to Asia first? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
What Uncle Roger describes as the "most annoying chef ever" has actually surprised me a lot in this video. Watch my reaction to PHOind out why!
Mamma mia! This Carbonara might have the right ingredients to be called "classic", but it has still a long way to go before you can serve it to your true Italian friends. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
In this video, expect the unexpected. I have reacted to many crazy things already, but I have never seen anyone cook like that before. I can't wait to read your reaction in the comments below.
Uncle Roger Review NARUTO RAMEN (Guga Foods) - Pro Chef Reacts
Could there be someone out there that is worse than Jamie Oliver? Kay's Cooking?? Is that possible?!?! The second recipe is called garbage stew and I think the title fits perfectly.
Chinese cuisine has been among the most affordable takeaways, but as time passes and food cost rockets- there have been adjustments in original recipes. In this video, you will see the preparation of Orange Chicken, chow mein, kung pao pork, and a side of rice for a total food cost of $3. How much would that cost where you live?
This time I decided to change things a bit and react to a video that is slightly different from a regular cooking video. If you listen carefully, this may even help you save some money after all the holidays' expenses. However, use these tricks very carefully, as they may cost you something other than money!
Jamie Oliver Asian cooking tends to go a little bit off tradition, but at the end of the day, his Gado Gado Salad can differentiate with interesting flavors. However, let my video clarify how this traditional Indonesian dish is normally prepared...
A reaction to...a reaction to...a reaction... Welcome to the endless circle of chefs reacting to chefs. Customizing an existing recipe is part of the profession, but those who don't work in the kitchen often don't know that, a lot of times chefs learn the art by watching others at work and vice versa.
I love both Italian and Chinese cuisines, and if you look very closely, they share similarities in the ingredients such as noodles, chili oils, fermented fish sauces, pork stews, and the use of almonds in pastry. However, that doesn't mean that they are interchangeable.
Definitely, is a lot to say in this video, most of it makes a real difference in the recipes, from a culinary perspective but also a sanitary one. There are not many rules in cooking that should prevent being creative, but some are there for a good reason.
I can't get enough of Guga and his experiments. I have to start eating before I even react to his videos because every time I feel like I can't resist ... and even more when he decides to share it with Uncle Roger.
OKAY, according to the historical definition of salad, America invented gelatine salad in late 1800. However, help me understand....should this recipe be called a salad??? I am still shocked as I write this...
I couldn't ask for more than watching my two favorite YouTubers grilling three excellent beef cuts to perfection. It is such a pleasure to watch a real grill master like Guga teaching with such skill and enthusiasm, and Uncle Roger seems to know how to handle it well.
Uncle Roger aka @mrnigelng and Guga are back together again. This time Guga will be using the sous vide cooking technique, and to impress Uncle Roger, he will be seasoning the steaks with a sauce very commonly used in south China. Let's find out Uncle Roger's reaction to this treat!
We are back again with another Uncle Roger (@mrnigelng) reaction to Nigella Lawson's 'Quick and Easy' ramen noodles. Will she SHAME Jamie Oliver? Will Jamie Oliver come out of this BETTER?! We'll find out!
You are not ready for this one folks! Mexican Week at the British Bake off and we all know how this is going to go. So strap in like Clockwork Orange for this thrill ride.
Chef Tsao hopes to find some hidden gems in Joji's Ramen or will it be filthy like Frank?
Welcome back folks! It's time to find out if the violent forces of physics can cook a chicken. Let's find out!
This time around we react to a video that may hold the largest dumpling ever to be made a particular cuisine I have a lot of history with. Let's listen in and stare in amazement.
We are gathered here today with @antmediauk2539 to watch in amazement as Guga Foods blows our minds with his toaster oven skills and foods.
New day, new video. We're here with Joshua Weissman as he teaches Uncle Roger the INs and OUTs of being a chef in the big city of Houston Texas.
Step right up folks to Chef Brian Tsao's carnival sideshow! We are here with Cooking with Jack's Wet Brine Vs Dry Brine chicken experiment. We have no hope this will go well, but we are ready to be wrong. Excitedly so.
Welcome chefs and cooks alike to another video of Uncle Roger reacting to the Great British Bake Off featuring Japanese cuisine. Low hopes but we still have hope, any predictions on how this will go?
Welcome cooks and chefs to a video so sweet is banned by 9 out of 10 dentists, this guy has it all. The cherry on top of this sundae is that we also get a bit of cuisine history this is quite the video.
Welcome cooks and chefs to a special video, a dual team-up of epic proportions. TWO top-tier chefs in one hoomecooking video on lasagna. (ziti?) Ed Cotton, of Top Chef SEason 7 and Chef / Owner of Jack and Charlies 118, joins me to watch Jack cook what he calls 'Lazy Man's Lasagna.' We hope for the best, but expect the worst in these cases. Get your hats and apron's ready for this cooking at home gem.
Nick DiGiovanni and Uncle Roger team up to make a staple of the Boston culinary scene, the lobster roll. Chef Nick's uncle title is never safe. Can he make his fellow Bostonians proud?
Needing a break from bad cooking, I react to Joshua Weissman recreate Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich but oh so much better. He definitely did not forget the pickle.
A rouge Friday video. My editor came to visit from across the pond and thought I would enjoy trying this dollar store egg fried rice in a pouch. He thought wrong
Chef Derrick Prince (of Beauty and Essex and Master Chef) joins me to see what atrocity Cooking with Jack is whipping up in his kitchen today. Bison would make delicious tacos or burgers but there are a few cooking basics you need to know.
Uncle Roger has hit 7 million subscribers and to celebrate he is making butter chicken. Completely ignoring everything he saw in Jamie Oliver's video and of course using his not so secret ingredient, MSG, FUIYOH!
It looks like Jamie Oliver may be on the road to his uncle title. He breaks out a mortar and pestle, and banana leaves for this whole fish recipe. Although not perfect in this video, but I think the Malaysian ancestors would give a nod to this dish.
Today I subject my good friend Byron Kutlusoy to Kay's Cooking. She makes beef alphabet "soup". It must be a British thing to boil ground beef and substitute farfalle. Not much has changed with Kay but at least everything is cooked through.
Cooking with Jack has entered his church chili cook off. What's his secret ingredient? Brisket from last year, fresh out the freezer. Chef Shon from Sunday In Brooklyn joins me in reacting to this hot mess.
Oh I'm so happy I get to react to a video by a professional. Chef Fatima Khawaja brings her knowledge and heritage to this delicious biryani. She is nothing like Cooking with jack or Katy's Cooking.
I may not know a lot about Indian cooking and biryani, but I know this ain't it.
Will the hype of a gold covered steak pass Guga's high standards? @NickDiGiovanni and @Gugafoods visit Salt Bae's restaurant in Miami and spend $2,000 on a single steak. Gilded or not, Wagyu isn't that expensive.
@JustinWhangYt and I share our love for cooking and anime. I think this episode shows a little too much love.
August the Duck compiled some of the nastiest tik toks he could find. Why would anyone use a toilet to hold any type of food.
Josh Weismann joins the Indian cooking kick with his version of chicken biryani. Toasted spices and thick yogurt sauces got me drooling!
Chef Kevin Martinetti and I select our favorite scenes from The Menu. We offer an interesting look into what life as a fine dinning chef is like.
I put Chef Paul Denamiel's extensive knowledge of French cuisine to the test when Cooking with Jack makes French onion soup. With a little added lubrication, this reaction gets a little edgy. No filter.
The moment everyone has been waiting for. I get to try a Guga's steak and make a sandwich with it. I used a lot of Asian flavors to bring this sandwich to the next level. And of course, it's on Dutch Crunch.
Chef Fatima Khawaja joins me today as we review Ranveer Brar's biryani. We discuss the Indian vs Pakistani versions and all things basmati rice.
Kay is trying her hand at chicken fried rice. The first time the rice was raw. The second time the rice was mushy. Will she be Goldilocks and get it just right on the third try?
Matty Matheson tries his hand at butter chicken, if that's what you want to call it. He wouldn't put something silly like olive oil in it, would he? Not like Jamie Oliver?
The GUGA Steak sandwich will be available at Mission Sandwich Social Saturday April 1st!! Only in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
Babish Culinary Universe's Anime with Alvin is recreating Food War's transforming rice. Does it really transform as magically as it does in the show?
Uncle Roger gets out from behind the desk to show you what really happens when you follow a Jamie Oliver recipe. Will he follow it to the letter using soba noodles and a baseball of spinach? I'm sure the ancestors will be crying either way.
Chef Paul is back! I introduce him to the glory that is Sous Vide Everything and Guga. A new love affair is born.
You would think traveling through Thailand being a famous chef, you would pick up a lot of tips on how to make your cooking authentic. Gordon Ramsay gets some things right but a lot of things wrong. Will he ever get his Uncle title back?
The people asked and I answered. Chef Paul is back and with a bottle of wine this time. We check out Cooking With Jack's Lazy Man's Omelette. While not technically an omelette, it technically probably doesn't taste good either.
Yet another Asian dish suffers injustice at the hands of a Western trained Food Network chef. Geoffery Zakarian create a watery, flavorless "traditional" Filipino Adobo.
Nonas everywhere are rolling in their graves as Cooking with Jack makes polenta with "Italian" chicken. Nobody anywhere is making this with Sunday gravy.
Cleansing my palate from some of the trainwrecks I've been reacting to with the sultry voice and exquisite cooking of Ranveer Brar. Jack and Kay could learn a lot from his videos.
Life in NYC is a constant hustle and grind. As a chef and restaurant owner, it's twice as intense. Come spend a day in my life and see if you have what it takes to make it in New York.
I sit down with a former NYC health inspector to review some cooking videos. Yes, I made him watch Cooking with Jack, and Yes, the reaction is as you would expect.
Guga celebrated 3 million subscribers in the most epic way possible. He smoked A LOT of meat. Half a cow, a whole pig, ribs and various other delicious cuts of meat.
Does Joshua Weissman have the skills, pizzaz, and comedic timing to work the teppanyaki grill at a Benihana?
Spring Rolls are a simple Vietnamese dish. More assembly than cooking. No way someone could mess them up.
I head to Texas to create a custom sandwich for uber famous youtuber Oompaville (Caleb). Was the sandwich worth the torture I endured?
Frenchie joins me once again and I introduce him to the horror that started it all, Jamie Oliver's "egg fried rice"
Does a white chef really impress Uncle Roger? Is it possible the ancestors are dancing and not crying? All I know is that I want some of this Filipino Adobo by @andy_cooks in my MOUTH!!
Justin Foley of Kill Switch Engage and Lybica joins me as we use our superior knowledge to judge if this at home pizza really compares to NYC pizza. @aragusea @killswitchengage @lybica5906
No way is an Indian chef making good pizza without yeast or an oven! Is it even pizza then?!?!
Nobody talks back to the chef! Frenchie's love of Uncle Roger is solidified in this video reacting to Netflix’s movie HUNGER. Similar to the omelet test for French cooking, fried rice is the litmus test for a lot of Asian cuisines.
Auntie Maangchi is Uncle Roger's favorite Korean chef and today she makes Kimchi Fried Rice. She's even been called the Julia Child of YouTube. I know this is going to be delicious!
Frenchie love for @GugaFoods and funky cheese come together. But is there a secret use for blue cheese? Are you really getting what you pay for?
Oh the steak cookery I have in store for @GugaFoods! I get his first hand reaction to Kay's Cooking and Cooking with Jack. Some of it good, a lot of it BAD, but all is very educational.
Need new frames like me? Click the links below & receive your crazy offer for 24hrs only????????
Auntie Liz and Uncle Roger break out into a sweat watching this Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives unholy combination of fried rice and a cheeseburger come together. Why so MUCH sauce?!?!?!
Uncle Roger celebrates hitting 8 MILLION subscribers by flying to NYC and learning a new way to make pork adobo for dual citizen Aunti Leah Cohen.
Is Rachael Ray about to make a delicious Asian meal. LOL. Nah ! She's going to screw it up.
Cue evil laugh. I sit Frenchie down and watch the carnage unfold as he sees what Kay's Cooking does to fried rice. Of course Uncle Roger is there with his reaction too.
"Uncle Roger really pulled up on ya girl and ate Lao food! Did he eat his words too, though? ????" @aebaybayy
The torture continues. Chef Paul aka Frenchie is back again and I show him how the BBC makes fried rice.
The angry has been amplified for many episodes with Frenchie but today we watch a master at work. He’s sooths the anger and makes it all better.
We love reacting to reactions and this one is special. Josh Weissman joins Guga as they savagely tear apart Asmongold's steak cooking technique.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to pray once again over the poor souls that ate this chili.
William Osman shows us how to make Pad Thai on the cheap, but do you want to eat it? @mrnigelng @WilliamOsman2
I show Frenchy Guga and Nick Giovanni's visit to Salt Bae's restaurant in Miami. He calls BU||$H!T on Bae.
We may have judged Asmongold's steak cookery too soon. I recreate it and get Guga to try it. Asmongold may be on to something.
We watch a @Gugafoods throwback video (he had hair!). Frenchy and I are drooling over these ooey gooey cheeseburgers.
Gotta take the salty with the sweet. No Guga for Frenchy this time. Bring on Cooking with Jack's raw meat
Why torture one chef friend, when you can torture two! Cooking with Jack is making CHICKEN! We all know what that means.
Jamie Oliver is making ramen, well soba noodles he calls ramen. Frenchy is having none of it and Uncle Roger's leg is glued to the floor. @mrnigelng
2 Pro Chefs DEFEATED by COOKING APPLIANCE?! Pro Chef Reacts
Uncle Roger (@mrnigelng) seeks out the help of the only Chinese chef in France, Chef Samuel Lee, to have Michelin stars. Peking Duck is not only a classic dish but the service and presentation is a key aspect.
Not only does Guga roast off some delicious bone marrow, he then FRIES a steak in it!!
@JustinWhangYt joins us this episode as we react to the infamous Cooking with Jack Aunt Myrna's Cheese Salad!
