Kurz darauf greifen Waldens Leibwächter und aufbegehrende Minenarbeiter, als Stagäer verkleidet, das Filmteam an. Ihre Absicht ist es, den Stagäern zu schaden und somit an die Diamanten zu kommen. Mit Hilfe einer magischen Waffe können sie jedoch niedergeschlagen werden. Nun steht in New York die große Premiere des Films an.

A campaign is launched to find a double of Captain Future, to shoot a movie about his life and his adventures. But the Interplanetary Government suspects the producer of using the movie as an excuse to travel to a planet rich in diamonds. He wants to get a mining license against the will of the inhabitants who refuse any foreign interference. Captain Future joins the film crew and goes undercover as actor to play his own part...
Le tournage se poursuit sur la planète Bettons, la planète des Stasians. On retrouve les fameux mirages et illusions que leurs habitants projettent aux visiteurs indésirables. Sur cette planète, Ezla a fait atterrir discrètement le Cyberlabe, selon les ordres de Flam. L'équipe de tournage se fait refouler par les Stasians, qui refusent qu'un film soit tourné sur Bettons. Valdine a un plan pour les faire céder : faire passer Carson pour le vrai Capitaine Flam et jouer les diplomates auprès des Stasians…
