Bob und sein Team bauen eine Fußgängerbrücke über den Fluss von Hochhausen. Sie muss pünktlich zum Hochhausender Streckenlauf fertig sein, denn das Ziel befindet sich genau auf der neuen Brücke. Alles läuft super, bis ein Fisch in Baggis Baggerschaufel hüpft. Baggi bekommt große Angst und fährt so aufgeregt umher, dass er beinahe Heppo von der Brücke schubst, Dieser hängt nun mit allen Rädern in der Luft und kommt weder vor noch zurück. Nun muss Bob nicht nur seinen Freund retten, sondern auch noch ziemlich viel verlorene Zeit aufholen.
Bob and the team are completing the second stage of a bridge over the river, to be finished for Spring City's Quarter Marathon. They are building a bridge deck and spar that will be connected by supporting cables. In the midst of the day's work, Scoop catches a fish in his bucket and, panicking, causes Lofty to reverse suddenly. Lofty's back end dangles off the edge of the partly constructed bridge, and Bob reels Lofty in by using his own hook and winch. The bridge is finished in time and is officially opened by the unexpected marathon winner: Mr. Bentley.
Bob et l'équipe achèvent la deuxième étape d'un pont sur la rivière, qui sera terminé pour le Quarter Marathon de Springville.
