大翔（鈴木伸之）のもとに、名古屋から母・絵里子（朝加真由美）が直斗（小山蒼海）を連れてやって来る。少年野球に夢中だった直斗が「野球をやめたい」と言いだしたという。
直斗のチームの監督（山崎樹範）に聞くと、どうやら最近チームにライバルの少年が加入したとのこと。 「プロ野球選手の息子がそんなんじゃ情けないよ」と檄を飛ばすと、直斗は泣き出してしまう。
その様子を見ていた大翔の父・大喜（モロ師岡）には、ある想いがこみ上げてきて…。
Hiroto's (Suzuki Nobuyuki) mother Eriko (Asaka Mayumi) comes from Nagoya with Naoto (Koyama Soumi). Naoto, who was crazy about little league baseball, has said that he wants to quit baseball. When Naoto's team coach (Yamazaki Junichi) asks, he learns that a rival boy has recently joined the team.
