César hat in seiner Kindheit ein Tagebuch mit genauen Aufzeichnungen aus den Bergen geführt. Angelina vermacht es nun dem stolzen Sebastian. Doch der passt trotz Ermahnung nicht darauf auf. Das wertvolle Tagebuch wird ihm in der Schule von Monsieur Tourel weggenommen. Ausgerechnet an diesem Tag möchte Großvater César mit ihm eine berühmte Höhle besuchen, für die er das Tagebuch als Karte benötigt. Sebastian tut zunächst so, als hätte er das Buch dabei.
