Das Team 5D's kann seinen ersten Sieg feiern. Bruno möchte etwas über seine Vergangenheit erfahren und hat eine seltsame Vision.
Jean give thanks to Yusei for the "fun duel," and the two teams promise to reach the WRGP finals together. As Team 5D's celebrates their victory in their garage, they are visited by Sherry, who had beaten three duelists by herself in her round. They discuss things about Yliaster, and how recent events have been related to them. Sherry reveals they are being targeted by Yliaster, due to them being Signers (not including Sherry). She also talks about the strange experience that she, Yusei, and Bruno had experienced back at Sector Security. After Sherry leaves, Bruno feels weird, and goes to the beach where he washed up upon. Upon finding a cat, it triggers his memory, and his eyes glow red again. The next day, as Yusei and Crow go to watch Team Unicorn's battle against Team Catastrophe, they arrive to find Team Unicorn's Duel Runners crashed, and Andre and Jean hospitalized.
Yusei et ses amis fêtent leur nouvelle victoire et qualification dans le WRGP tout en se liant d'amitié avec l'Equipe Unicorn. Malgré cela, Bruno, à la suite d'un accès de folie, se souvient d'évènements liés à Yliaster où il apparait avoir une mission, puis tombe dans l'eau. Sherry Le Blanc apparait en leur disant qu'Yliaster est impliqué dans le tournoi et Yusei comprend que s'il ne parvient pas à maîtriser l'Accel Synchro, il ne pourra pas vaincre les Empereurs Machine d'Yliaster. Le lendemain, l'Equipe Unicorn se fait battre par l'Equipe Catastrophe et comme si cela ne suffisait pas, André et Jean sont grièvement blessés.
壮絶なデュエルの末、なんとかチーム・ユニコーンを破り予選一回戦を突破した遊星たちチーム５Ｄ'ｓ。
今回のデュエルで遊星は様々なことを学んだのであった。
ジャンたちと今後のお互いの活躍を誓い合った後、ガレージで祝勝会を開き、これまでの苦闘を振り返る遊星達。しかし、その勝利はこれから始まる死闘の第一歩に過ぎなかった。
はたして遊星たちが向かう先にいる敵の正体とは・・・？
