Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt beim Sicherheitsdienst macht sich Jack auf die Suche nach dem wahren Verursacher unzähliger Unfälle in New Domino City. Als Jack den Verantwortlichen findet, muss er mit Entsetzen feststellen, dass dieser das exakt gleiche Aussehen, D-Wheel und Kartendeck besitzt wie er selbst.
Sector Security bursts in with a warrant for Jack's arrest. Mina and Trudge show footage of something similar to Jack's Duel Runner causing other people to crash in duels using Red Dragon Archfiend. Yusei and company recall that earlier, Jack had fallen out with them over sticking to his usual plays. Jack still denies committing any crimes, and Crow doesn't help. As a result, Jack is arrested and sent to jail. When news spreads, everyone else has a hard time believing it. Later that night, an electronic bug breaks open Jack's cell, allowing him to escape. However, he then runs into an identical Jack Atlas riding an identical Duel Runner and behaving like Jack in his "Duel King" phase (from Season 1), and is challenged to a Turbo Duel. Jack draws a Tuner Monster that can summon Red Dragon Archfiend, but refuses to use it due to the earlier argument, and summons Exploder Dragon instead. He initially gains the upper hand, but is shocked to find his tactics dubbed weak by the impostor. The impostor summons an identical Red Dragon Archfiend and defeats Jack, knocking him into the sea. Yusei and Crow arrive only to see the impostor, thinking that the real Jack Atlas has committed yet another crime.
Les Forces de Sécurité arrivent pour arrêter Jack. Mina et Trudge montrent des preuves irréfutables que quelque chose de semblable au Duel Runner de Jack cause des accidents à d'autres personnes avec le Dragon Rouge Archdémon. Mais Jack dément avoir commis tous ces crimes et Crow ne l'aide pas vraiment. Quand les nouvelles arrivent, chacun croit difficilement à ce qui est en train de se passer. Plus tard dans la nuit, les coupures électroniques d'un bug ouvrent la cellule de Jack, lui permettant de s'échapper. Cependant, il tombe nez à nez avec un Jack Atlas lui ressemblant comme deux goutes d'eau, conduisant le même Runner que lui et se comportant comme lorsqu'il était le Roi des Duels. Il se fait défier dans un Turbo Duel par ce Jack et commence en piochant un syntoniseur qu'il aurait pu utiliser pour invoquer le Dragon Rouge Archdémon, mais à cause des évènements passés, il l'utilise pour invoquer le Dragon Ailé, Seigneur des Explosions à la place. Il prend très vite le dessus mais se rend compte que l'imposteur copie sa tactique mais que lui invoque le Dragon Rouge Archdémon, battant le vrai Jack et l'expédiant dans la mer. Yusei et Crow arrivent seulement pour voir l'imposteur, pensant que le vrai Jack a encore commis un autre crime.

辛くも危機を乗り切った遊星達であったが、ある朝、セキュリティの来訪を受けたジャックは何のことか解らないまま本部に連行されてしまう。
深影と牛尾の元を訪れた遊星達は、信じられない映像を見せられる。そこにはジャックのホイール・オブ・フォーチュンに乗り、レッド・デーモンズ・ドラゴンを操るＤ・ホイーラーが次々と他のＤ・ホイーラーを大破させている様子が映し出されていた。それを見た遊星達は何かを思い出すのだが・・・・・・。
