Paige was last seen sneaking out of her office at the same time as an NYPD detective was asking her boss to direct him to Paige for a routine inquiry. To the team's surprise, the NYPD detective turns out to have been an imposter, causing them to question why Paige chose to run from this mystery man, what he wanted -- and if he caught up with her. Further investigation uncovers that the seemingly upstanding and socially conscious Paige was involved in a lucrative identity theft ring with close ties to a terrorist on a watch list who was recently seen in New York with her. Meanwhile, the remaining team members are gravely concerned about Vivian, who is undergoing open-heart surgery on that very day.

Une jeune femme, Paige Hobson, disparaît sur son lieu de travail. Elle exerçait le métier d'assistante dans un institut d'études de sondage. Quelques minutes plus tôt, son supérieur, M. Ricker, avait reçu la visite de l'inspecteur Baumann qui souhaitait parler à la jeune femme. Lorsque Ricker avait accompagné l'homme jusqu'au bureau de Paige, la jeune femme avait disparu. Paige n'est pas rentrée de la nuit. L'un des collègues de cette dernière la dépeint comme une idéaliste rêvant constamment de changer le monde. Selon lui, son travail actuel la remplissait de dégoût. Malone se renseigne auprès de la police de New York sur l'inspecteur Baumann... qui n'existe pas !
Paige scompare dal suo ufficio proprio mentre un detective della polizia stava chiedendo indicazioni per trovarla al suo capo ufficio, per delle domande di routine. In realtà la squadra scopre che il poliziotto è un impostore e le indagini si spostano su questa nuova pista. Ulteriori indagini portano alla luce una seconda vita di Paige, invischiata in un traffico di identità rubate collegato a una cellula terroristica. Nel frattempo i membri della squadra sono preoccupati per Vivian che sta per entrare in sala operatoria.
