Eddie Trunk and the TrunkFest crew are headed to the Golden State for the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show! This convention is held in the Anaheim Convention Center and hosts over 7,000 music brands. NAMM also hosts many iconic artists and allows music lovers interact with them through Q&A sessions throughout many different areas in the convention center. This convention is the ultimate music-lover experience with everything for music fans to experience and enjoy from famous artist meetings to their musical equipment! Eddie chats with the CEO and president of Gibson, James Curleigh, and Chief Merchant Officer, Cesar Gueikian, about Gibson’s return to NAMM and some new equipment they will be rolling out! Eddie also hangs out in the Gibson booths and VIP areas to meet up with Vivian Campbell and Dave Amato to talk about their music careers and what is next for them. Eddie also chats with Heart’s Nancy Wilson to talk about her festival experiences and a new Gibson guitar design she is working on. Eddie also shows us some exhibits in the convention center, including the works of photographer Neal Preston, known for his work with famous musicians such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. Preston was the only person allowed to photograph Led Zeppelin from the stage in the 70’s and the only person allowed to photograph Queen at Live Aid from the stage. Preston talks to Eddie about what it was like photographing many iconic moments in music history and shows us some of his famous works.
