On this next episode of TrunkFest, Eddie Trunk heads down south to Gulf Shores, Alabama for Hangout Music Festival. Hangout Festival offers all guests a beach vacation like no other, and with everything from the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores to multiple carnival rides, there is always something for guests to do during this three-day long extravaganza. Besides watching the star-studded lineup, Hangout Festival guests can tour RVs, swim in the ocean, dance at beach clubs, roller skate, sail, relax in a hammock or at the spa, play beach volleyball, kiss puppies, and maybe even get married to that special someone at the wedding chapel! Eddie soaks up the sun while enjoying many of these activities including puppy kissing, playing slip n slide kickball, enjoying the gourmet food & drinks, and even witnessing a surprise wedding! Eddie interviews the band Judah & the Lion, an American alternative band from Nashville that formed at Belmont University in 2011. Eddie and the three band members Judah Akers, Brian Macdonald, and Nate Zuercher, meet up to talk about how their band formed, the music influences that they bring to their own music, and goals they had for their new album. Eddie also chats with lovelytheband, an American indie pop band which started in 2016 in Los Angeles, about their favorite parts about Hangout Music Festival and their band’s journey.
