Sally's mom has a cold, so Sally wants to pick her some colorful flowers to make her feel better. The Cat in the Hat takes Nick and Sally to the forest of Flora-Fah-Zoom where they meet three different creatures that all depend on flowers to live. Sally decides to make her mother a picture of the flowers they have encountered in Flora-Fah-Zoom instead of picking a flower that animals need in order to survive.
Sally möchte für ihre Mutter eine schöne Blume pflücken. Der Kater mit Hut schlägt ihr vor, mit ihm nach Florafasuh zu reisen. Dort gibt es die tollsten Blumen weit und breit. Doch als sie ankommen, müssen sie feststellen, dass alle Blumen von den einheimischen Tieren gebraucht werden. Schmetterlinge wohnen darin, Frösche trinken aus dem Regenwasser, das sich in ihren Kelchen gesammelt hat, und Kolibris ernähren sich von ihrem Nektar. Also muss sich Sally etwas anderes ausdenken.
