Guided by Sam's vision, Sam and Dean return to the house where they spent their childhood. A mother and her child are being tormented by a mysterious phenomenon. The brothers think that it may be the doing of an evil spirit, so in order to find some clues they visit Missouri, a spirit medium who was close to their father. With the help of Missouri they succeed at exorcising the evil spirit. However, on the same night the mother and her child are once again attacked by a violent poltergeist phenomenon...
Sam começa a ter visões, então Dean resolve seguir com ele até o local que elas indicam, e eles acabam indo parar na casa onde eles viveram uma boa parte da infância. Mãe e filho que viviam lá eram atormentados por um misterioso fenômeno causado com freqüência. Os irmãos pensaram que esses fenômenos poderiam ser "o demônio". Para ter uma boa pista, eles pedem auxinho para a medium Missouri, que John conhecia há muito tempo. Missouri ajudou os irmãos porém foi atacada por um poltergeist do espirito que dominava a casa, mesmo ela tentando a expulsão do demônio, foi em vão.
