Karen (s vidinou hollywoodského úspěchu), Dana (s vidinou 500 dolarů v podobě honoráře) a Al se účastní konkursu na roli v seriálu. Al, která konkurs vyhraje, se navíc natolik zalíbí producentům, že jí je nabídnuta další role. Velmi touží po odchodu do Hollywoodu, čemuž se nakonec naštěstí podaří Frankovi a Carol zabránit. Lilly a Carol pečou sušenky pro dobročinnou akci.
Als in der Stadt ein Hollywoodfilm gedreht wird, sind die Töchter des Hauses Lambert-Foster völlig aus dem Häuschen und bewerben sich um eine Rolle. In der Stadt dreht eine kleine Produktionsfirma einen Film und veranstaltet ein Casting. Karen takelt sich zur Diva auf und ist wild entschlossen, eine große Filmkarriere zu starten. J.T. und Rich können da nur lästern. Doch da outet sich auch Al mit ihren Filmambitionen. Während Rich überzeugt ist, dass Dana für solche Kapriolen nicht zu haben ist, bewirbt auch sie sich schließlich um eine Rolle. Als sich der Regisseur für die bescheidene, natürliche Al entscheidet, ist die Enttäuschung bei den Konkurrentinnen groß. Al zeigt jedoch soviel Talent, dass man ihre Rolle ausbaut, und Al fasst den kühnen Plan, die Schule zu schmeißen und nach Hollywood zu gehen. Carol und Frank sind entsetzt, obwohl sie nicht umhin können, von Als großer Begabung beeindruckt zu sein.
After explaining to the guys the various virtues of getting the role in the next Jeremy Beck movie; Karen, Dana, and Al audition for the part. Karen and Dana are not quite what the producers want, but Al is just what they are looking for. Al also has great acting talent and does a fantastic job. She does so well that they rewrite the script to include her in another scene. Al loves it and decides to quit school and move to Hollywood. Frank and her agree that she can join the drama club and, if necessary, move to Hollywood afterward.
Lilly is having a bake sale so she and Carol are making cookies. When Lilly's friend, Traci, and her mother make fun of the Lambert duo and their cookies. Carol takes it personally and makes a dessert that is loaded with alcohol that will knock the socks off of Traci and her mother's dessert. Then Lilly doesn't want to use it because she didn't help and they use the cookies after all.
Al décide subitement de changer de carrière pour devenir actrice. Elle est sélectionnée par un producteur américain pour un rôle de serveuse. Pendant ce temps, Carol entre en compétition avec une autre mère dans la confection de desserts pour une kermesse à l'école de Lilly.
