  • S18E01 Low Water on the Skeena

    On this episode, Don and Dale are fishing for Steelhead and Coho on the Skeena River, near Terrace British Columbia. They face some tough conditions, with the water level reaching record lows that year. On The Bench, Don ties up the Muddler Minnow, which was the most effective pattern they used that day.

    On this episode, Dale is fishing for Arctic Char in northern Quebec. He is staying at the Payne River Fishing Camp, which is situated near Ungava Bay. He is joined by Al Dunbar, and the two of them catch numerous Arctic Char on full sinking lines. On the bench, Randy Taylor ties up a "Double Bunny".

    On this episode, Don is fishing with Brian Chan on Summit Lake, in the East Kootenays of British Columbia. They are fishing with chironomids, and as a result, they get into several double headers. Throughout the episode they explain the techniques and equipment necessary to effectively fish this pattern. On The Bench, Don ties up a Black Bead Slinger Chironomid.

    On this episode, Dale is joined by longtime friend Donald Thom as they fish for Arctic Char using dry lines. They are fishing on the Payne River in northern Quebec, using a unique technique that Donald has developed over the years, which entices the Char up to the surface and ultimately take the dry fly.

    On this episode, Don, his brother Dale and Brian Chan are fishing the Redfern River, in North Tweedsmuir Park, B.C. The river is teeming with wild native rainbow trout, ranging in size from ten to twenty-four inches, perfect for fishing with dry flies and light gear.
