Le grand-père maternel de Tom et Mia vient de mourir. Il a légué à ses petits-enfants un bien immobilier à Athènes, où Mia est censée faire ses études. Tom la rejoint pour gérer leur héritage commun et ainsi financer le lancement de sa start-up à New-York. Il va découvrir que Mia a arrêté ses études et les activités anticapitalistes de sa sœur vont sérieusement compliquer l'héritage commun.
Tom's and Mia's grandfather has just died. He's bequeathed them a building in Athens, where Mia is supposed to be studying. Tom joins her to oversee their inheritance and use the proceeds of its sale to launch his start-up company... only to discover that his sister has actually dropped out of school and that her anti-capitalist activities will certainly complicate liquidating their joint bequest.
