一人東京に残った恵は神谷道場で、剣心との再戦を求めてやってきた蒼紫と遭遇する。恵に剣心の居場所を問う蒼紫。しらを切ろうとする恵に対し、蒼紫は「答えないなら、殺す」と迫るが、その時、ある男が現れる。一方、京都へ向かう剣心は箱根山の森の中で、ある少女に出会う。

Megumi is alone in Tokyo and coincidentally encounters Aoshi at Kamiya Dojo, who’s come back for another fight with Kenshin. Aoshi asks Megumi where Kenshin is, but she feigns ignorance. Unhappy with the lack of response, he threatens to kill her if she doesn’t tell him, when a man suddenly appears. Meanwhile, Kenshin encounters a young girl in the forests of the Hakone mountains as he makes his way to Kyoto.
