In the wake of an explosion in an unnamed UK metropolis, photojournalist Jennifer Preston begins to notice a strange phenomenon which has begun to take hold after a sprawling Quarantine Zone is erected around the site of the blast due to a purported biotoxin contamination. People are behaving erratically and violently, seemingly controlled by some external force which Jennifer begins to suspect is coming from within the QZ.
As Jennifer witnesses increasingly bizarre occurrences, she clashes with Mathis, a cop in search for the truth behind the explosion which killed his daughter; and Jonas, her boyfriend and a press officer for the Home Office, who refuses to believe in the entities Jennifer has captured on camera. But when Jonas realises he's being lied to by his colleagues, he decides to investigate Jennifer's claims first-hand, and ventures into the QZ.
Jennifer is pushed to her limits after Jonas disappears and Mathis is framed for murder by Emeril Benedict, the gangster who orchestrated the explosion. Out of options and desperate for answers, she decides the only place left to go is inside the QZ where she discovers a far larger conspiracy at play, and in a chilling twist of events, comes face to face with one of the paranormal entities she's been documenting.
