Usagi faints as Kunzite's spell to transform her into a Youma comes back into affect. While Makoto and Rei run off to find Kunzite, Ami does her best to help Usagi fight back.
Kunzite, un nouveau Shitennou, a fait son apparition. Il peut, grâce à une mèche de ses cheveux, transformer un humain en Youma. Lors de sa première confrontation avec Sailor Moon, il réussit à utiliser le sort sur elle, mais cette dernière grâce à son pouvoir semble l'avoir annulé. Plus tard, alors que le groupe d'amies fête toutes ensemble le nouvel an, Usagi tombe subitement dans un profond coma.
遂に現れた、ダーク・キングダム四天王最後のクンツァイトによって妖魔にされてしまったセーラームーン。しかし彼女の中の戦士の力が妖魔の力を抑え込んだ。
元に戻ったうさぎを見て仲間の戦士達がほっとするのも束の間、うさぎの中の妖魔は徐々に力を持ち始め、遂にうさぎは倒れてしまう。
「私だってうさぎちゃんを守れる！」と必死で看病する亜美。
しかし体温が下がり始めたうさぎの身体には、確実に妖魔の影が現れ始めるのだった・・・。
