A reporter from the Observer interviews Wynne and Harper before the publisher arrives with news of how the new game has tested. Surprise : no one likes it. Meanwhile their lead developer Gary returns from Burning Man with a cosmic problem.
The next morning, Harper and Wynne discuss their current funding dilemma, while Gary constructs an eyesore. Soon their company meeting begins where Marcel is introduced to oversee all work as they hustle to the finish line - before unexpected guests interrupt the proceedings.
Oscar stages a protest against outsourcing, creating Marcel's first leadership test. Nester then visits the office to give a chaotic pep talk to the team. While Harper is overwhelmed by their stoke of bad luck, Wynne has a secret plan to salvage the company and the game.
Today's meeting is interrupted by an unwanted pizza delivery; someone online found Wynne's credit card information and ordered them. Wynne leaves to cancel all her cards, spurring an argument with Harper on how best to protect her. Marcel and Kendra observe and bond in unexpected ways.
Harper wakes the next morning alone, wondering where his wife went. At the office Wynne recruits Cat to help find her online troll, while Harper fails to get Wynne to talk to him. Without warning, Nester arrives to give the team more bad news, fracturing the game at it's core.
Our game is barely ready, but must launch soon. Just before launch, Gary coaxes the team into his tent. As it turns out, he has been secretly working on new puzzle and game elements the entire time, and the results are amazing. With new levels and Wynne's former lover Andi's last minute funding, the team barrels into the finish line. Will the game be a hit?
