Dr. Locke's old friend, a talented neurosurgeon, arrives for a visit. After losing a patient, Max has given up surgery to travel aimlessly across country on his motorcycle; he is also drinking heavily. Then Dr. Sellers suffers an aneurysm. Max must operate on him or he will die.
