Meet Donny Lai, ex-jailbird, part-time actor and full-time debtor. When he chances upon the rich and beautiful Christine Yeoh looking for her missing husband Sam Ong, Donny puts his con artist skills to work by posing as a private investigator and scoring a lucrative gig. With the help of old friend Maia Yap, Donny sets up a make-shift PI Agency called ‘The Honest Agency’ to service Christine. But little does he know what he is in for. Meanwhile, Moe Chandra aka Mozzie is after Donny for some bad debts. Fellow jail-bird Bruno Fahmi struggles in his new job while Donny’s niece, the orphaned Renee Lai who goes by the cosplay name Rabbit Warrior, struggles in school after being a constant target of some school bullies.
Donny’s investigation into the missing Sam runs into a tricky situation when he has to get rid of the body of a murdered man. The Honest Agency gets its second client when Maia’s father’s old friend Aru seeks help to recover the money lost in a scam. Bruno’s struggles in his job continues when he is accused of molest after attempting to break up a fight between two women.
Donny’s mission gets even more dangerous when he has to protect a vital clue after some gang members have plans to get their hands on it. An angry and disappointed Bruno decides to quit after his boss failed to back him up over the molest case. Meantime, Wilson Ho, Maia’s ex-boyfriend who walked out on her after she got pregnant with their nine-year-old son Josh, finally returns to look for them.
Christine invites Donny, Rabbit Warrior and Donny’s mother Lizzy to put up at her apartment after they had to flee from the gang who is after the vital clue. Maia is affected by the return of Wilson. She thinks she knows what he is back for. A businessman approaches The Honest Agency to dig more details on where his maid ‘disappears’ to every night.
A confused and scared Donny tries backing out of Christine’s assignment, only to have his plans sabotaged by Lizzy. Maia encounters a stalker who tails her to her doorstep. Bothered by the stalker, Maia turns to Donny and Bruno for help. Mozzie, meanwhile, has some new clues with regards to Sam’s whereabouts.
A celebrity is troubled by leaked photographs of her boyfriend and her online and seeks the help of The Honest Agency to smoke out the sneaky uploader. Donny meets Sam’s mother Madam Li at the columbarium to confirm his doubts on whether Sam is alive or dead. Christine returns home to a note telling her to stay away. She believes the note is from Sam. And as Donny is about to share an important piece of information with Christine, he is interrupted by phone texts from an old friend of his.
Donny is in two minds about revealing to Christine what he found out at the columbarium. Meantime, Rabbit Warrior confirms to Donny that Sam is dead on record. Wilson offers Josh a chocolate bar, not knowing that Josh has nut allergy and this leads to an emergency situation. Bruno finally summons up the courage to tell Maia what he has always wanted to tell her.
After Josh’s near-miss, Maia and Wilson have an ugly confrontation as Maia demands he gets out of their lives totally. As he begins to suspect that Christine is up to something, Donny decides to search her room but he makes a mess of it. Christine finally locates her mother-in-law Madam Li, and finds out she has dementia. Worst, Madam Li cannot even recognize her anymore.
Christine, in her desperate bid to locate Sam, is abducted and almost buried alive. A classmate of Rabbit Warrior needs a favor from The Honest Agency to help identify the mysterious modeling agency that scammed him. Bruno decides to return to action at the illegal fight club after being rejected by Maia. Maia, meanwhile, notices a change in Bruno’s behavior and wonders what he is up to while Donny comes clean with Christine on his friendship with Sam.
Donny accompanies Christine to Sam’s house, where they chance upon something that breaks Christine’s heart. Meantime, Mozzie goes in search of the perpetrator who killed his good friend-cum-detective Wiranto. And a concerned Maia tails Bruno to the illegal fight club and tries to stop him from getting into the ring.
The Honest Agency is divided when Maia suspects Christine of being up to no good but Donny continues to defend her. Rabbit Warrior gets worried when her good friend hasn’t been turning up for classes. Could she have been abducted by the mysterious syndicate as well? Meanwhile, Donny decides to reveal to Christine about those secret locations where Sam and him used to stash the loots from their scams.
With the case of the missing girls getting complicated, The Honest Agency seeks help from the police and offers up whatever information they have. Christine gets harassed by a mysterious man who claims that she still owes him something after he had paid her. Rabbit Warrior, meantime, hacks into Christine’s phone call log and discovers some very shocking information.
