Sull'isola Firs è in corso un attacco della Neo Marina. Gli invasori riescono a rubare la pietra Dyna. I pirati di Cappello di Paglia scorgono l'ammiraglio Z che galleggia in mezzo all'acqua privo di sensi e lo recuperano salvandogli la vita.

Z, un ancien Amiral de la Marine, débarque avec son équipage sur une île du Nouveau Monde. Le but de leur voyage : dérober un minerai renfermant une énergie phénoménale capable de rivaliser avec la puissance des armes antiques. Mais Z et ses acolytes ont un autre objectif : l'extermination totale des pirates de toutes les mers du monde. Alors qu'il navigue dans les eaux du Nouveau Monde, l'équipage au Chapeau de Paille va croiser la route du terrible Z. A former naval admiral and leader of the Neo Marines which also includes his henchmen and commences an assault on the navy on Firs Island, a Volcano and one of the End Points. While there, Zephyr steals the Dyna Stones and fights Kizaru before he starts an eruption to defeat the Admiral only to be sent flying into the ocean. While having a cherry blossom party, the Straw Hat Pirates discovers and heals Zephyr. When Zephyr learns that Monkey D. Luffy is a pirate, he fights Luffy, Roronoa Zoro and Sanji (One Piece). Having discovered Zephyr's location with a Vivre Card, Ain and Binz join the ex-Admiral to fight them. Ain uses her Devil Fruit powers to de-age Nami (One Piece), Tony Tony Chopper, Brook (One Piece) and Nico Robin, while Binz uses his Devil Fruit powers to trap Franky (One Piece), Usopp and Brook (One Piece) with vines. Realizing that Luffy is the grandson of Monkey D. Garp, Zephyr attempts to kill them, but the Straw Hats are forced to flee. At Marine Headquarters, the navy discovers Zephyr's whereabouts and decide to recover the Dyna Stones.

Auch in der Neuen Welt genießen Ruffy und seine Crew das Piratenleben in vollen Zügen – abgesehen natürlich von dem ständigen Lärm an Bord. Nur einer gönnt ihnen das leider gar nicht. Der ehemalige Marineadmiral Zephyr, mittlerweile besser bekannt als Z, hasst Piraten abgrundtief. Deshalb hat er beschlossen, alle Seeräuber endgültig im Meer zu versenken – und nebenbei gleich die komplette Neue Welt zu zerstören. Mithilfe der gestohlenen Dyna Rocks muss er nur noch einen der sogenannten Endpunkte in die Luft jagen, dann sind die Piraten für immer Geschichte. Während die Marine vergeblich versucht ihren einstigen Admiral aufzuhalten, interessiert sich Ruffy eigentlich nur für eins: seinen Strohhut von Z zurückzuholen
