Die Crew will ihm seine Unterhose jedoch nur aushändigen, wenn er sich ihnen anschließt. Außerdem lässt sie Robin freie Hand, um Franky mit ihren Mitteln zu überzeugen ...
Luffy tells Franky that, if he wants his swimsuit back, he will have to join his crew. However, this does not persuade him. To weaken his resolve, Robin uses her ability to grab Franky's testicles and pulls on them. Iceburg tells him that he only wants to stay in Water 7 because he has not forgiven himself. Franky's followers bring him his luggage. He rejects it, telling them to stay out of his affairs. During this series of events, Franky cries, apparently from the pain inflicted by Robin, who had stopped some time ago. Sanji and Zoro arrive in a hurry, reporting that Garp has returned and is on his way to capture them. Luffy then returns the swimsuit to Franky, who subsequently agrees to join the crew.
Une série de flashs-back de sa jeunesse, et un peu de persuasion douloureuse de la part de Robin, aident Franky à prendre la difficile décision de quitter ses amis et de prendre la mer avec les chapeaux de paille.
Dopo l'ennesimo rifiuto di Franky a entrare nella ciurma, Robin gli schiaccia i testicoli e infine, dopo molte riflessioni e incitamenti da parte della Franky Family e di Iceburg, il cyborg decide di accettare; dopo un commovente saluto con i suoi vecchi compagni, sale sulla nave di Rufy. Sanji e Zoro informano gli altri che Garp è stato incaricato di catturarli.
Tras conseguir que Franky llegue hasta el nuevo barco de los Sombrero de Paja, éste rechaza de primeras la oferta de Luffy de unirse a la banda, pero gracias a la actuación de Nico Robin cambia de idea. Franky se despide así de su familia en Water 7 y se prepara para ver cumplir su sueño, navegar a bordo del mejor barco que haya construido jamás.
