Luffy and Ivankov are soon stopped by Pacifistas Boa Hancock comes to their aid preventing the Pacifistas from attacking. A weakened Whitebeard is weakened further by Akainu with a multitude of marines attacking him. With Marco restrained and Jozu frozen Whitebeard says he cannot die before seeing " a future for his sons". With the a new set of executioners ready Sengoku orders the execution to commence, their stopped by Luffy's burst of Haōshoku Haki.
Rufy riprende la corsa verso il patibolo, seguito da Iva che gli spiana la strada con il Death Wink. Quando il ragazzo si trova davanti Kobi, lo atterra con un solo pugno e questi commenta come sia ancora troppo forte per lui. Due Pacifisti intercettano Rufy, ma Hancock si intromette per fermare l'attacco. Mentre Barbabianca viene attaccato in massa dai marine, Aokiji e Kizaru sconfiggono Jaws e Marco. Al patibolo, gli esecutori stanno per giustiziare Ace, ma Rufy, usando l'Ambizione, li abbatte insieme ad un gran numero di marine tra lo stupore generale.
Luffy ha recuperado sus energias gracias a Ivankov y vuelve a correr hacia su hermano. En el patíbulo, dos nuevos soldados de La Marina se preparan para ejecutar a Ace. En el camino de Luffy aparece Coby que no duda en enfrentarse al Sombrero de Paja. Shirohige continua enfrentándose a varios marines y Jinbe acude a ayudarle junto a otros piratas. Mientras, Sengoku ordena que se ejecute inmediatamente a Ace y cuando los dos ejecutores se disponen a ello, Luffy lanza involuntariamente su Haki del Rey provocando el desconcierto en Marineford.
