The Astros finish the season second in their league and the players celebrate their success. But the team is still unprofitable and Kimishima’s former boss encourages him to return to his old job. No longer confident of his ability to serve as the Astros’ general manager, Kimishima wonders whether or not to accept the offer…

宿敵サイクロンズに惜しくも負け、優勝を逃したアストロズに本社からは厳しい声が。「今年がラストチャンスだ」と悟った君嶋（大泉洋）は、赤字改善のため日本蹴球協会に改革案を提出するが、門前払いされてしまう。一方柴門（大谷亮平）も再挑戦へ向けある男と対面する。そんな中、君嶋に悲願の本社復帰のチャンスが…腹をくくった君嶋は「GMとしての最後の仕事」に乗り出す。アストロズを待っている涙の別れとは…！？

2위라는 좋은 성적으로 리그를 마감한 아스트로즈. 하지만 우승이 아니면 2위나 꼴찌나 다름이 없는 현실에 키미시마는 고민한다. 그런 그에게 전 상사였던 와키사카가 본사로 돌아오지 않겠냐며 권유한다. 그와 함께 힘을 모아 타키가와를 견제하자는 것이다. 한편, 다음 시즌을 준비하는 사이몬 감독에게 뜻밖의 손님이 찾아온다.
