Ichika Kuwanoki, who lost her husband in the war, is the eldest daughter of Kuwanoki, a long-established ryotei in Kyoto, but works at a hotel as a chef of a western-style restaurant. Meanwhile, Ichika’s younger sister Futaba is matched with the Yamaguchi family, a hotel owner in Osaka, by a 19-year-old college student named Amane.
