Nadja is awakened from a dream where Collette recognizes Nadja as her daughter in front of the troupe (with Francis and Keith giving Nadja flowers) by a cow licking her. She learns that from Cherbourg (a half-day train ride away), a ship will arrive in England the next day. On the train, Nadja mistakenly sits in first class and a thief tries to steal her luggage. She loses her train ticket and music box (containing Austrian gold coins), but receives a free trip to England as compensation.
一座から離れ、 一人で故郷のアップルフィールドを目指すナージャ｡ 自分が本物のナージャである事を証言してもらうため、 一刻も早く孤児院の院長先生に会わなければならない。 ところが、 初めてのひとり旅は戸惑いの連続だった。 知らずに乗った列車では、 一等席に迷い込み､煙たがられてしまい、 辿りついた三等席では、 酔っ払いの愚痴を延々と聞かされる羽目に・・・。
Nadja se despierta de un sueño donde Collette reconoce a Nadja como su hija frente a la compañía (con Francis y Keith dándole flores a Nadja) por una vaca que la lame. Ella se entera de que desde Cherburgo (a medio día en tren), un barco llegará a Inglaterra al día siguiente. En el tren, Nadja se sienta erróneamente en primera clase y un ladrón intenta robar su equipaje. Ella pierde su boleto de tren y su caja de música (que contiene monedas de oro de Austria), pero recibe un viaje gratis a Inglaterra como compensación.
