After unsuccessfully trying to sell his reality television pilot pitch to a studio exec, Johnny Cage, an American action-hero movie star who has fallen on hard times, is recruited by Shang Tsung, a powerful sorcerer who has the power to suck souls from people, to fight in the upcoming Mortal Kombat tournament.

Este episodio vuelve a los 12 minutos, sin embargo hay mucho dialogo y tal vez poca pelea, aunque las que hay son muy buenas. Vean como Johnny Cage paso de ser famoso a ser nadie, y como intenta resurgir como actor pero no puede. Para cerrar el episodio esta la aparición especial de Shang Tsung, quien le promete darle un cambio a su vida.
Johnny Cage, star du cinéma d'action, voit sa carrière sombrer petit à petit. Les concepts d'émissions qu'il propose aux producteurs ne les séduisent pas. Un beau jour, il découvre par hasard que l'un de ses concepts refusés a été offert à une jeune star montante. Il entre alors dans une rage folle et passe à tabac son ancien producteur et les gardes, quand soudain, le temps se fige et un homme lui fait une proposition.
